Poly bushing swap - LCAs and steering rack, with LBJs. Drives firmer, but good for a lifted truck and closer to new/stock. OEM rubber was toast.
Had to drop the bracket lift to get to the steering rack, which required disassembling the entire front end, that was fun. A ton of work alone, but well worth it.
Final project - repainting hood and roof. AZ sun baked the clear coat off.
Then I'm planning on selling... unless I can convince myself otherwise.

Temporarily mounted one of the platform on the canopy. Temporarily because I will transfer it to the cab after I get the Backbone mounted this week and I didn't want to haul it in the bed. I'll mount the other one on the canopy and add the rail kits next time I go down off the mountain. I also put new struts on the canopy glass (now I don't have to use a prop rod) and lubricated all the door hinges, handles, and latches.

This right here is a great idea, even on the models where the seats fold up from the ground. Thank you for the paradigm shift!

Mounted the RR Backbone on the truck. If anyone installs one, I highly suggest skipping using the included rivnuts. Instead, drop the headliner and use bolts and nuts with SS fender washers. The rivnuts don't all expand below the lowest layer if metal an instead I had half of them expand inwards. I am also going to change out the RR stainless internal hex bolts and put in stainless bolts. The included bolts have very small heads and the included washers leave a bit to be desired. So, I will use 1/4-20 ss nuts and bolts with SS washers that are a bit bigger.

Has your truck ever seen these substances called rain or snow? That truck looks like it came off the factory floor.

spent this morning finding a place with spring press machine since after I pulled the passenger side coil over out the table top plastic case spring compressor wouldn't fit in the coils. Pulled the drivers side coil over dropped both off to get new 5100s put in em. And then spent my time cleaning hardware and cleaning the frame and suspension and hitting it with black paint. By that time I got the call they were ready and picked em up stuffed them back in. Hour day well spent

Moved the platform from the canopy to the cab to get everything marked for it's final location. I'll take it off next time I go off the mountain so I can wash the truck and wax the roof and canopy. Then, they both go back on with their rail kits.
I also pre-drilled holes to mount side lights on the backbone. I'll tap them before I wash the truck.

Did you get cloth interior or leather? I'm curious if the newer cloth SR5s still get the folding passenger seat.
