Today I finished my front brakes as yesterday I did my rear brakes and rear suspension.. unfortunately I will need a new water pump... As mine has started leaking even after sitting overnight about 18 hours.... Atleast I am getting a warning... my last one exploded leaving its mark all over the place..... Steel brake line broke and my replacement brake line from 2 years ago on the driver side started to back out, leaking brake fluid.... Just one of those days I guess... When it rains it pours.. LOL....

Nice! We got our tree on Saturday but just tossed it in the bed, literally, lol. Next year we want to get a tree tag and go out in the woods to get one :headbang:

    Pretty things
Bout 13-14' of Christmas cheer we hunted down this weekend. Tossed it in the bed with only the last panel of the tonneau flipped. Held till just over 80mph before flopping over onto the tree.

Also, got a chance to pull some Floridians and their Pacifica out of the deep stuff off the side of Berthoud pass. Good deed for the day.

Did a drain and fill on my transmission.

This is my third....the last two times I've done one, she took less than 4 quarts. This time I put 4.25 in and got only a slow drip from the overflow at 117° in my torque app. I'm trying to decide if it's worth buying another quart to slosh another .25 in. It has got to be so close to full.

I did let it drain for hours this time, it was probably left uncorked for 6 hours...still dripping when I got back to it.

Usually the overflow drains for a bit, down to a dribble before it stops.

None as of yet. However, there are many to come
Has anyone replaced their carpet with and easy to clean material? I'm thinking about doing my floor in diamond cut aluminum?

Has anyone replaced the interior lights with brighter bulbs? What type were they?

Don’t know about replacing the carpet.

Most people replace interior lights with LED’s.

I drained cold and measured what came out. Each time, it was exactly 112 ounces. After I take the measurement, I put the drain pan back under and pour about 3/4 of a quart of fresh through to clean out the pan.

Interesting, I got 124 oz my first time, but I put a full 4 quarts in and let the overflow drain off the excess at temperature. I wonder how much letting it sit for hours does for draining fluid... I suspect that is why mine took 4.25 quarts and is still thirsty, apparently.

    @joseph_womack,
Cut to final width, drilled for cotter pins. Next week, I'll weld the axle and hub backer washers in place then paint the bare metal to finish it up. Picking up some steel plate today to make a skid plate for it.

I think for the most part Amazon has some pretty decent interior light bulbs brands out there but so far I’ve had pretty solid lighting with LasFit. I was lucky enough to to find them in amazon. They are SUPER bright and having tinted windows definitely helps me keep all that light inside the cab. I can get a picture for reference if you’d like

Added dash cams (Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2) to both my Tundra and my wife's new 22 Highlander Hybrid this week. Highly recommend the Mictuning trim tools kit on Amazon for about $9, it makes the job easier and less likely to damage trim pieces or glass.

I am quite pleased with the ease of use on these, they both sync easily and quickly to the Drive app and I tested out video transfer to my iPhone and it is very simple although longer videos take quite awhile, so trimming them down to the necessary part only would be wise.

Rescheduled body work for the third time. Dec 13. Getting part of my bedside repainted (for free, paint damage when my tailgate was wrapped)
Struggling to decide if I should repair all the big damage. My sister hit one of those bollards in a drive thru many years ago, last quote I got was 3-4k, it's only one side of the bed. On the other hand, damage is part of a trucks story
You can see it in this pic

so if I'm understanding this right, you got the trans to the right temp, turned the truck off, then put in the fluid and pulled the overflow plug to let it drip while the truck was off?

There are two plugs on the pan, a drain plug and an overflow plug.

The procedure is to pull the fill plug, pull the drain plug, replace the drain plug when empty, fill with 4+ quarts, replace fill plug, bring to temperature, WITH ENGINE RUNNING remove overflow plug, replace the overflow plug when the stream decreases to a trickle.
