That's what I'm saying. You would leave the piece of plastic on top of the stock bumper in place.

    Here is an example

Since you would have to leave the top plastic on, I think the camburg bumper would probably look best.

You would be the first person I know of that used a 3rd gen aftermarket bumper on a 2nd gen if you did this... My point is, it will bolt up, but who knows how nice it would look!!!

It'll look even better with 3rd gen fenders, headlights, that piece below the headlights, and hood.

Thanks, I've heard about Gator Back. I figure the one I took off was original so hopefully this new one (same brand) will last me another 110k miles. And it comes with a 3 year warranty. I'll check out Gator Back next time.

Still need a donor truck. :annoyed: There's one lead from a local member, but my timeline didn't coincide with his availability so I'm not sure if that lead will be able to pan out in the future still.

    Installed my bags.
Had use some redneck ingenuity to open up the suspension a bit. Made it so much easier.
Stiffened up the ride a little even at 0psi.

Drove her from Bloomfield CT to EAST Longmeadow MA. Brought her home, had the dirt from the ride to Foxwoods cleaned off fueled her up and parked her till next Friday.

Was yesterday, but washed it, put two coats of Zaino Z2 and followed up with a coat of Butter WetWax.

. How do you like the Zaino and Butter? It's too cold to do that here right now

I really like the Zaino, I've been using it for years. This was my first time using the Butter and it was a little harder to remove than I thought it was going to be, but that could be because it was in the 40's here. I normally don't do anything after the Zaino, but the Butter should give it a little more protection.

Took it to a dealer, thinking about trading for a 2017. There are a lot of features I like on my 2013 that the 17's do not have. I would only go up 100 bucks a month.
Hard decision, the more I think the more I like my 13 with 60k miles on her.

    Thoughts?

I like my set up it has dual climate control, tilting rear seat, bed rail system that my ladder racks fit correctly for kayaks, tow mirrors these things I would need to change.
    Arghh!
    Thanks.

its the never ending race..how about next year when they come up with a new gen..
I say keep the one you currently have if it serves your purpose and if you set it the way you want it. Plus 60K is low miles

at the end of the day both trucks do the exact same things. It's a matter of aesthetics and $$.

a little de-badge and getting rid of the dealership license frame would clean up your backend IMO ;)
that Norge sticker would pop real good

Yeah just personal preference. I just felt like they looked wierd on my truck. Like they just couldn't find enough places to put different sized badges. Looked bedazzled to me!
