I'm glad you asked! It effing sucks. I got it on eBay, it's branded DV8. Powder coating is atrocious. I keep a can of rustoleum in the truck and hit it with a wire wheel in a new spot monthly. It cost $700 or $800. Spend $300 more and get something legitimate. The fitment is terrible. Took 3 of us to contort it into shape and align it. Now it's out of alignment again and I am not messing with it. Next time I touch this bumper it's going to be with an impact and plasma torch (the bolts are already rusted to hell). Genuinely glad someone asked so I could vent, do not buy it.

I did just run into a boulder in NC and put a massive dent in it though, it's on its way out.

Some of the parts that I purchased from the 4th of July sales are finally making their way onto the Slurp!

Randy Ellis Light Bar Mount, x4 Diode Dynamic SS3 Pros and an sPOD. The lights look a little goofy being so small on such a large truck, but I wasn't about to spend $2,500 on x4 Baja Designs LP9's, no way José. The sPOD is a game changer, it makes wiring so much easier and cleaner. I mounted the controller in a different place than most, but I like having my light controls easily accessible while driving. No reaching or stretching out to get to the lights if you need to be quick on the controls.

Still have some items in the queue, including: 2 more DD SS3's on the light bar mount, DD SS3's in the fog light pockets, DD S2's for reverse lights and an alibaba TRD Pro grill (w/ paint match surround). Then of course, a whole wish list waiting to be purchased:thumbsup:

EDIT: Added the 2 additional DD SS3's and the DD SS3 fog lights. 8 total DD SS3's up front will light up the night pretty well!

Maintenance day. Took it by my good friends at Hendrick Toyota. Oil change and tire rotation. Can’t recommend them enough. 76D79B0B-3F7D-419F-A3AF-38438B7F2F74.jpg

Then went to Impact Auto Glass in Charleston to get the windshield replace. Bad news.
When Safelite did the last windshield, they apparently hit it with a razor blade to remove the adhesive, which they didn’t even remove. There was rust under the windshield.

The guy who tinted my windows recommended them. They sanded it down and are priming it then putting in the new glass. Highly recommend them, fixing others mistakes. Stopped used safelite a few years ago. Cheap glass and shoddy work.

Some more shoddy work. If anyone knows where to get a mirror bracket for an Advent LCDM42 please let me know. 29930798-D20A-4A18-A21A-E1B09C3BBC8F.jpg
When the aftermarket mirror was installed by the dealer 11 years ago, they didn’t put on a little bracket. The mirror has shaken off the windshield before but I didn’t know why. That’s why. Hoping I can track down the arm, bracket, and plastic piece. Every day the truck gets in better shape!

Upgraded to the Mock Warrior. Anyone have difficulty lining up the grille when doing this mod? It’s shifted by about 3/16” to the passenger side. Although the 5 bulge clips didn’t come with the new grille. Might be the problem. Regardless…stoked!!!

Most mirrors just use a little torx set screw to tighten to the wedge that's glued to the glass.

The ones I took out are the originals with 175K on them. The truck was running great with no codes and decent gas mileage. Can definitely feel a decent pep in it’s giddy up. I went back with the original Denso plugs that came in it. I did make sure to double check the gap before installing them. Next on the list is the transmission.

I know nothing of wiring other than the basic instructions from the wiring harnesses but I’d like to know is that sPod thing you have there for multiple accessories? I’m thinking of getting 2 ditch pods but I already have my LED bar with its own harness. I’m looking for something I can attach everything in spot. I doubt I’ll do more than the LED bar and the ditch pods so also not looking for anything that has multiple connection options

What a difference getting rid of the chrome makes! The new grill really makes the truck look good.

Mine didn’t fit flawlessly either. There is about that much lip at the top of mine where it meets the hood it’s very slight so I just accepted right away because it looked so nice compared to the old chrome one. I wouldn’t even worry about it. It looks awesome!

Dropped in a new K&N air filter, seems to have awoken the engine up a bit... Mom noticed, she was saying it sounds angrier.. IDK.. Also swapped out headlights for the 18 Sequoia type.... made a world of difference... started cleaning the carpets.. bringing it back up to par...

Flushed the power steering fluid and the coolant. Neither fluids were too bad but I'm trying to get the last of these services done before winter. Switched my Morimotos to sequential blinkers too. That didn't take long either. Only complication is I turned my radiator petcock dealie too many times and it shot out spraying coolant everywhere. D'oh!

Gave it a clay bar treatment and wax job. Still looks decent with 175K miles on it.
