I hear ya on the coin part. I may have neglected it the first 100k so had some catching up to do. Break it down a bit there was 8 different oils that got swapped.

    $1060 / 8 = $132.50 (not bad at all)

Finished installing my Fas-Top Traveler Package tonneau/soft top this morning. Other than missing the sling and waiting on the mesh rear window, it’s all set!

I did have to modify the soft top frame as two of the snap together pieces weren’t lining up perfectly. F4AC43FC-16F6-4B4F-BE19-8AD5FA079B3A.jpgD44F8D8D-8795-4371-B4BC-23473B96F1FA.jpg

Well I learned something today. I’ve only ever seen them on trucks and suvs on asphalt so I thought it was mainly an appearance thing, but that makes a lot of sense.

Can’t have too much light when it comes to visibility and working under the truck. I can think of multiple times I’ve been out in a field or somewhere similar off-road where that would have been really helpful.

I misplaced my spare tire lock key; I can get a new one from Toyota, but before I do that, is it possible to unbolt the spare tire winch with the tire still attached?

    Sold it to Carvana. Bittersweet.

Heads up that if you're looking to upgrade, they gave me top KBB value, no questions or hitches involved. Took me an hour in total.

I noticed carvana has a few low mile 2nd gen tundras, but they are asking crazy money for them. PEOPLE ARE PAYING IT!

Related, I saw this in person yesterday while at the dealer picking up some clips I broke on my door panel. $60,000!

Lol that's insane. Mine was an 07 w 168k. I'm sure it'll go to auction because of the mods, but I got super lucky to get out of it. Had bed rust and some deep colorado pin stripes to boot. The girl didn't give any fucks. Just made me sign away and the payment was initiated right then. Insanely easy. Got over 12k...dealership would have given under 10 is my guess.

That's the goal. I want the hybrid.

We're getting a hybrid Rav4 right now to pass the time, it'll become my wife's and I'll drive our civic as a commuter. The tundra used to sit anyways because it got really old paying $80 a week for gas. It turned into our snow(boarding) mobile and I couldn't justify not wanting to drive it.

Fixed the tire rub on the front bumper by putting a whole new bumper on from U-box Offroad. Not totally happy with the fit (see 2nd picture) but for the price - not bad. Anyone have ideas on what to do to clean up the corners where the factory attachment points are in the corners??

I can see where you may not be happy. Maybe a piece of boxed in flat stock painted black and bolted on? Looks good front view!

Thanks. Wish they would have just made those corners about 4" longer to meet up with the fender properly....

Maybe you can cut a piece off of the old front bumper valance and fit it on? Looks really cool though!

Took off my stock running boards and finally put on my RB20’s. I also took off my front bumper from hitting the deer, and started to mount my heavy duty front bumper. I got as far as mounting the winch plate to the frame and had to stop since it got dark.

Had to replace a caliper, so I did all four. Passenger rear piston seized and burned through the pad to 2% while the others were at about 40-50%. 3.5 hours to include bleeding the brake system. Best part is that my gas mileage went up because the caliper isn’t dragging anymore. Sucks because my old ones were G2’d and I can’t see myself doing that shit again

Turned out great, man! Did you already have Steering Wheel Controls before the swap? I don't and would love to have them.
