Tried to clean my a/c drainage hose, turns out is not a hose but a rectangular area literally right above transmission, noticed there is no hole on that rectangular area so still unsure of how it drains, and was unable to use the Toyota a/c refresher kit since there is no hole to put the foam in. Wonderfully dirty and painful two days lol. Hope everyone is doing well stay safe out there people!

I took my long air nozzle, shoved it up in there and let it rip. I think that would've cleared out any clogs.

Question, the drain area rectangular area did you remove that? Or where exactly did you place the nozzle? Because I tried removing that piece and it just did not budge at all

There's a slit that it drains out in that plastic rectangle. I just shoved my air nozzle it. (but I wasn't having any drainage problems that I know of before)

New wheels and tires (TRD Pro wheels and stock sized Duratracs)! Totally transformed the look of the truck. It also transformed the ride. Went from E rated K02's to C rated Duratracs, so much softer. Also threw in an AJT shift knob. The slurp is coming along!

The knob alone has got to add at least 15HP

Changed out my front and rear diff break-in fluid today after having 5.29s installed a few weeks ago. First and last time I use the squeezeable “easy” packs. What a damn nightmare. You basically need three elbows on your arm to get the thing in position to not just dump all over the driveway. Next time I’m buying one of the pumps with a hose on it and using standard plastic quart bottles.

All cosmetic so far see my posts in 2nd gen Black out chrome in progress….
How long did it take to do that and difficulty? Seems a little bit ridiculous to spend $170 to have a shop do it

Got rid of rear chrome end caps with good ole plastidip and replaced the ugly factory antenna for a stubby. Oh and got rid of the side steps to eventually be replaced by some sliders.

I was told that they were. I tried it with the tire on and with it off. The hardest part is just getting your hand in there to apply pressure to the bottle nozzle against the diff housing since the hole is on the side of the diff. I couldn’t get a good connection that didn’t drip constantly until the final quart pack. Then I apparently got a great connection cuz I was able to squirt most of it in there without any drips…and most of it came spilling right back out cuz I had overfilled it :annoyed:

If you have the proper tools available, I think an hour to 90 minutes is enough. $170 may not be a bad price, depending on what oil you get with that. My oil for front and rear cost me $130. There’s a front diff fluid change DIY thread on here in which guys report dealers charging $500+ for the service.

I believe my dad paid close to $500 for a full front and rear diff service plus transfer case, I offered to do it for him but he likes to get everything done at the dealership (He's got a 2014 CMSB, 1794 edition, 4wd). I did both my diffs and transfer case and it was quick and easy. I paid roughly $100 in gear oil for the rear diff (Royal Purple - wanted to get the good stuff because I wasn't sure how long ago it had been changed). But I used either Mobile 1 or Valvoline for the transfer and front diff (can't remember but its written down if you want me to look it up)

haha, she's pretty basic. OEM Toyota Rock Warrior Wheels, Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires in 285/75R17 size. Bilstein 5100's front and rear, front in high setting. I have a set of +1 coachbuilder shackles, but not installed yet. Front end is a '20 Sequoia TRD Pro conversion.

I was $120 just for the oil to do the diffs and tcase. I went with Redline though.

Diff fluid appeared worn at 50k miles and 9 years. Unsure if the tcase had been changed by PO, it looked fairly new. I wonder if the tcase doesn't really experience heat or pressures. Are there clutches in our tcases? I know the sliding action of hypoid gears in the diff works the oil hard.

Just waiting on word that the bolts for Victory 4x4 bumper have shipped…third straight business day with no word, no shipping confirmation, nada after paying for bolts rather than just getting the sizes/quantities…trying to remain cool about it and give them the benefit of the doubt, but it’s rather annoying when they haven’t responded to multiple attempts on my part to reach out.
