Mounting tabs broke on aftermarket rear taillights. And it wasn't due to over-tightening them. The plastic tabs are made out of poor quality so I applied epoxy for added strength. Do I regret buying the tail lights? Not at all.

p.s. - Epoxy job looks horrible but it was my first time epoxying anything. =P

If the epoxy job can't be seen outside the truck, who cares what it looks like? As long as it holds you are good.

Tundra grade black dash and Sequoia black console panel aren't exactly a perfect match color-wise, but it beats flaking spray paint down the road.

    Nice.

Instead of spray paint would powder coating be better? I'm thinking about doing this.

I'm going to treat it to Redline synthetics in the drive train in the next week or so. Hoping for little mpg increase.

I found my OEM mirror caps for $42/ea plus free shipping from Village Toyota. I guess it probably depends on the color though. Door handles depends on how many doors but I think it was around $250 for all the parts for a CrewMax.

Not sure they could powder coat at low enough temp, but hydrocoating would definitely work and last.

I used a mirror-tap that goes into the plug on the rearview mirror. Two pins slide into the back of the connector. Found the ignition wire and put it to those wires.

I thought about the parking mode cable but decided not to go that route. Didn't want to run wiring up the A-Pillar and under the headliner

Yeah I saw people doing the mirror tab but mine is basic one so couldn’t go that route. I ended up doing the parking mode I ran it under liner and the side & connected with fuses below dash area.

Not to laugh, but the image of you in the bumper looks like that "help,I've fallen and I can't get up" ad. How much difference do you notice with the sway bar in place?

HAHA. Didn’t even notice that. Haven’t driven it yet, but will in the morning. Wanted to get it done before it got too dark. I don’t think it took me 30 minutes to do. I’m hoping it’s as good as all the reviews I’ve read.

Front & rear differential and transfer case fluid change with Mobil1 75w90 and new washers from the dealer. 8 qts and the washers amounted to about $130 total. Buffed out some pinstripes and gave it a wash.20210312_174812.jpg
