Instead of just VHT I flat blacked mine. Just finished them today, I have a DIY of it in lighting.

Did the 'bird-meets-mirror-at-60-mph' mod. Sucks that I have to buy new stuff, but I'm doing a hell of a lot better than he is! Had the windows down so it was nice and loud too. About made the dog and me both crap down our hind legs.

    Mirror.jpg

I was planning to switch to tow mirrors at some point anyway, so I guess this means now's a good time. I ordered a set of the Fit System mirrors off of scamazon because I'd really rather not have to crap out $400 for OEM. The reviews are okay, plus if they do turn out to be junk I can always send them back. I'll post-up my opinions once I've given them a shot.

Washed it, refilled washed fluid, cleaned the battery posts, replaced the wipers, and replaced my old "TRD" license plate frames (1 cracked in the car wash) with new "TUNDRA" ones.

So when I color matched my Tacoma grill, painted, I just taped off the parts I didn't want to paint and I figured it would be that way with this grill too. But I see that you removed the chrome part. That is awesome! It will make painting so much easier. I haven't looked yet, but are there clips or screws holding it? I built a small paint booth for my last grill and used toyota matched spray paint. Turned out looking as good as the factory paint. Hanks for these pictures, I'm pretty excited about this now.

Yes all bolts are 10mm or philips head. There are 5 bolts under the upper insert (which just pops off when you pry up on the lower edge) and 4 more on the inside up top. Then there are 6 screws along the bottom edge. After that there where clips all along the inside of the chrome piece, and 3 on each side of the outside edges. A bit too much holding that thing on if you ask me. I was just wingin' it through the removal so it took some time, but its very doable. Good luck!

Thanks! I got the steering wheel cover at O'Reilly's Auto. But I've also seen em at Runnings and Walmart.

I haven't nearly nor close to what you all have done to your Tundras. But for the guys looking into getting a tonneau cover on your Tundra, here's mine in the following pictures.

I liked this model from Access TonnoSport 22050249 Roll-Up Cover for Toyota Tundra 6.5' Bed With Deck Rail. It's not their top of the line but affordable.

I know, I know it's not a Tundra in the video....

I really like that it's low profile and fits perfectly. Plus the adjustment to tighten it is very easy.
It rolls up for full usage of the bed. Bought it for $285.00 including shipping.

A view of a car behind and what they see, not a very noticeable cover. It's very easy to install.

It Velcros along the rail on each side....

It clamped right onto the Toyota OEM bed rails. it took me about 1/2 an hour to install it. It takes 3 clamps on the 6.5' bed on each side. Just by sliding the clamps along the bed rail and bolting it down with a 9/16" nut & bolt.

I did remove the front behind the cab bed rail just for convenience and thinking it might be in the way. It kinda would have been, I'll be re-installing them.

I also bought a new hitch cover at the local Toyota dealership.

Not much to show, just thought that Tundras.com members looking for a bed cover might consider an Access Tonnosport, it's received good reviews.

That's exactly how/where I installed mine. Seemed to be the place that made it look most like it belonged there.
