What have you done to your 2nd gen Tundra today?

I installed a new cabin filter, I have better flow now, and the musty dirt smell is gone. The part number is for all 2nd gen Tundies

 

Added the forum decal.....thanks Bob.
Done lots of mechanic work, lifts, etc (over the years) but this was my first decal....and it shows

 

installed black rock warrior grille, blacked out toyota emblem. Removed toyota bed liner. Ready for next week line-x work.
Fixed leaky windshield water hose thanks to some rodents

 

Applied Laminex tinted covers to my fogs, what a PITA hahaha. Trying to blend them in with the rest. Can't really tell from pic, but I'm happy

 

I did absolutely nothing to mine. Tomorrow I'll have new scratches.

 

Just noticed that forum decals are RCSBs in profile. FTW!

 

They have CM and DC too.

 

What all did you have to do with the Headliner, I'm trying to get a 3rd Brake Light to replace the factory one on my 2016 Tundra Crewmax, since the light is not sealed up against the body.

 

Jmfrost, I would take the lens off and see if you can remove it that way. I don't know how the set up is on the 3rd gens. Also what do you mean not sealed, are you having leak problems. If there are no bolts to access in front, then your gonna have to access from inside. If your back window doesn't power down or you do not have a slider, then I suggest you look at other options. Let me know , I will help you as much as I can.

 

Installed 5100s on the rear. I can tell the difference already. Less "lurch" if that makes any sense. Can't wait to get my fronts installed, but I'm gonna let a shop deal with that.

 

Finally gave the big guy a well deserved bath.

 

Installed a Hypertech Interceptor the other day, fucking awesome!!

Was it a noticeable difference? I've been looking into it but I'm hesitant with it being a gas engine.

 

Yes it is. It's been dyno'd on a stock truck running 87 octane for 17hp and 23ft lbs. It is noticeable, and the truck even sounds different with it.

 

I guess it's time to invest in one then.

I got mine on CL for $175. The only issue with them is that running aftermarket intakes can throw codes from the MAF. Reviews say it's better with the stock intake and it doesn't throw codes. I've also read Delphi MAF sensors cure the issue if you want to keep the intake...

 

Hmmm The truck had the TRD intake on it when I bought it so I wonder if that'll throw a code since it's still a Toyota part.

 

I believe AFE made the TRD intakes, and K&N made the filters for the intake...

 

I have the stock intake so I shouldn't have a problem I'm thinking but nothing is ever simple.

 

I'm stock and haven't had an issue.

 

This is got to be my cheapest and fastest mod install to date. I don't think I've seen one on here. Panoramic convex clip on mirror. $9.99 on flea bay. It is well made, definitely for the money.
I can see out farther than my side mirrors.

I installed a set of E-Board 6" running boards today. They aren't fancy but look to be very practical. My Tundra is black with very little chrome so I got black boards and I like the look. (Sorry, no pics.)

 

5100's all the way around. Removed the front spacer and left two shims on each side. Shocks on the top setting. What a difference! It tracks much better on the twisty's without body roll, and handles our bumpy roads with much better response. Bonus, I'm finally back in alignment spec. Had I retained the spacer I would have seriously had to consider new UCAs.
