Bronze steel wheels (a set of spares) for the winter.

 

A guy at the local parts store was telling me about this woman that came in needing something for her "fiso". Not knowing what it was she was talking about, he asked her to take him out to her vehicle. There it was on the fender, an F150.

It's all about font.

I used to work at a parts store. The amount of people that would say, "two o o four", "two o four", or "twenty o four", instead of, "two thousand and four" when I asked the year of their vehicle always baffled me. I guess those are the people that shoes with velcro straps were invented for.

 

I had a really strict math teacher that would've insisted that it is to be pronounced "two thousand four", saying "two thousand and four" were two seperate numbers...and that zero was a number, "oh" was a letter. There are about a million other things that folks say that strike me as....odd.

 

I worked at a few auto parts stores in Indianapolis, IN.

Wow, that looks great! I have the same color paint and have been thinking about doing bronze wheels for a while - you may have just convinced me!

What paint/powder coat did you use?

 

It's RustOleum Antique Brass Metallic. There are way too many "bronze-like" colors. I wanted to stay darker rather than lighter.

My goal is to re-do them in the spring, probably the classic Toyota grey steel wheel color, with some taller, skinner tires.

New coworker:... says 710 on the cap!

Installed a pair of LED Tag Lights with red accents. Goes surprisingly well with the Tailgate Strip.

 

I think this will be the extent of my exhaust mods.

 

New Gates belt, tensioner, and idler pulley.

Didnt break any bolts. I did round off the fan nuts a little. I'm going to get news ones at Ace tomorrow.

 

I don’t have any pictures. But...I replaced the rear shocks and front struts on my 2013 CM Rock Warrior. Nothing big. Replaced with the same Bilstein 4600’s. I even used a spring compressor from Advance Auto. The job went smooth! Shocking. My truck has 73,000 miles on it and I tow a camper quite often. The ride feels much better with fresh components.

 

Fresh front end with Sequoia headlights. $700 all in. Used headlights from eBay, filler panels from dealer, paint from Automotivetouchup.com (DIY), and harness from @xrunnerdude67. Love the new look!

Since mine is now put up for the winter I washed it and plugged it in to the battery tender.

 

Plasti Dip on the oem rims. Anthracite grey. Black door handles on the way.

 

Attacked the chrome on my new to me Limited CM. Swapped out the chrome rear bumper for the matte black rock warrior bumper.

 

Gave sewing a shot, closed the hole in my driver side seat.

 

Having done this myself (as I suspect many have), any chance the seat fabric is available from Toyota as a replacement?

 

Bought it!!! 2010 129k miles got it for 12!!! What are you using for bed storage to keep stuff close to the gate?
