dMO, I just did my 07 CM with tech12 non G key its simple install with posi taps just make sure you have a good connection before putting everything back, if any issue you call them and James gets on the phone and helps with any issues.

Mines an 08. Paid $200.00 ebay user warmcarnow. Comes with posi taps. There was only 3 wires to tap. He has a video in his ebay ad/youtube to follow step by step. Super easy. I did it at 8pm and got done in 15 mins.

It's the same fortin kit tech12v sells, but at the time I bought mine his kits weren't on sale for the Non G (DOT) key. Also tech12v's directions have you connecting either 7 or 9 wires, so he must not be giving you the T harness for the ignition (unless he just hasn't updated his discription??).

I might have missed this but there are 2 kits, one is a plug and play but for 07 there are like 7 wires to tap. Research exactly what you need is my advice.

That's what I saw thru tech12v's description online for the 2008-10s, so I opted for the ebay kit that only had 3 wires to connect.

Nice, so they are the same kit! I always wondered if they were the same or not because on ebay and on Tech12v website they both reference the fortin kit. Yes, tapping into 3 wires does sound alot better than having to tap into 7 or 9 wires. How is it holding up so far? Any issues, concerns or regrets? Thanks for the feedback! choices, choices, choices.....

@pmfr67 - Do you remember how many wires you tapped into using tech12s kit?

Dont quote me I can't find the email from them when I asked that, but I think its like 7 wires, call them if you have the non G key look at your key and see if its stamped G or just a dot (.) that's what I had. hope this helps.

Works great for what it is (point and shoot remote starter). Used it all winter and summer when I need to warm/cool the cabin if my boys are going out with me. Just remember to set you HVAC controls.

Had the rear pinion seal replaced. Shop said the differential flange had a groove worn in it and added a redi-sleeve so the new seal would have a good surface. Total bill was $263 and no more leak. Part Numbers used were Pinion seal 90311-A0008 for $40 and the sleeve #99204 for $65. Total was supposed to be $315 but had a $50 off $250 promotion going on.

It's probably setup for previous owners preferences. It can probably be tweaked for yours. Most don't do anything too much once installed.

Toytec shackles at 1 inch setting installed. Also replaced the rubber bushings with the poly from toytec. Rented the ball joint tool from advance auto parts and used impact gun. Before and after pics

Impact setup here , used the wrong adapter at first , it was too skinny and bushing was just running into it. Gotta use the short fatty one and they pop right out .

Also ran a 1/2 inch grade 8 bolt and washer through the rubber bushing to give the ball joint tool something to push and the washer helps grab the metal sleeve.

Installed a waterproof, locking connector for a backup camera on the rear of my camper. This will be used to monitor the 4 wheeler when it’s in tow behind the trailer and assist in backing up. I mounted it in the spare tire holder, will mount it back up once the hitch is installed on the camper. My head unit has dual camera inputs so it will work out perfectly.

Looks great. How did you do the grill surround? Did you (or a body shop) paint it?

Thanks! I bought a new black plastic grill which I removed and separated the surrounding grill I wanted painted. Then had a local body shop paint to match along with a few other pieces.

Today I inspected & cleaned with a vacuum both the cabin filter and the aFe Magnum FLOW Pro DRY S Air Filter. The cabin filter is 3 years old with a little over 20k and the aFe is 8 months old with a little over 4k, both are in excellent condition.

Did you have to install those upper anchor points? Any you recommend? My 2006 does not have them. Thanks.

Changed the oil for the first time, found the filter housing plug was stuck in there and it just turned the whole housing off. Got a little messy. I'll just upgrade to the aluminum housing next time around.

Sprayed off the mud from the under the truck the previous owner left there, prob lost 30lbs. Wife wasn't too happy about the driveway but after I shoveled it up and sprayed it down the street all is good.

Thanks - so D rings is the term I needed that I was lacking and I guess that means it's safe screw them down w self tapping screws w/o puncturing the outside. Good idea! I'll also eventually get the same net now.
