Did that solve your problem? I just had 3 go out all at once.

Good day for the local classifieds, found a Softopper (almost new w/ removable rear screen window), Decked drawers and latest model Pioneer DMH-W4600NEX with backup camera (already have a backup cam so this will go out front). Still want a mid-rise hard shell for the back but this will do for now till one comes up used in super white.

Nope. I replaced all 3, took it to the mechanic because it still wasn’t working and he said I need to replace the actuators. I don’t know. I think it might be electrical somewhere else.

Got the snugtop back on today with fresh seals and clamp hardware. Scruffed up the topper a little bit getting it back on. I'll have to use some bondo or something to repair it. 20200701_130626_HDR.jpg 20200701_130645_HDR.jpg

If you have a little multimeter or test light, test the plug and see if you get voltage when you hit the lock/unlock. If you don't there is probably an issue with electrical somewhere else, otherwise, if you get voltage, test the actuator itself and see if you have continuity. I don't really see how that could be that 3 would fail like that but they could have an internal circuit break I suppose.

I tested with the light. Lock, it’s good, unlock, it’s like barely flickering. How do you mean test the actuator?

With a multimeter, there is a continuity test where you put the two probes on either side of a circuit and it will tell you if the circuit is complete or not. If you don't have a multimeter the most you can do is hook up wires and give it power and see what happens. If you do much wiring at all I would definitely suggest a multimeter though, you can find them for like $15 at most auto parts stores. With that, you can test the two connectors on the actuator and see if the circuit is good. And you can get more information, you can test the motors to see if they are bad, test each connector outside the actuator to make sure that it connects to one of the prongs on the inside of the actuator, etc. It's just a process to narrow down where your problem actually is. As for the light flickering that sounds weird and a multimeter would give you more information like maybe the unlock circuit is not providing 12v for some reason.

Hey team. @Bob hooked me up with a new decal since my rack covers the og one. I’m thinking of putting it here- has anyone put decals on they’re slider glass? Will it get all scratched when my kids slide the window around for fun? Tia

Not sure about yours with the small window, but my full back window on the crew max has had stickers on it for a year and a half now with no issues through washing or rolling the window up and down.

And what is the wisdom on sticker math here? I've heard 10hp sometimes and 5hp other times. IMG_1823.jpg
Also does sticker math apply to my laptop?

Started the audio upgrade, got the Pioneer DMH-W4600NEX and dash speakers done. Couldn’t figure out the wiring for the factory backup camera .

Yes, I had some kydex laying around and made the mounts out of that just traced the size of the factory speakers. Took about 20 min to install including the mounts.

Yes it is a long hard thing poking out like that haha. I removed it right after the shot. Just had unloaded the trailer off it haha. I actually have a spot that I store it underneath the bumper because hitches in receivers are a pet peeve of mine too haha (Old pic during install)

I wish Toyota made a 3/4 ton truck. I wish they stopped flirting with a Diesel for the US market. I have had Toyotas in the family all my life. My first new car, a 2000 Tacoma, is still in cherry condition in HI (thanks pop!). Sadly (?) I must join the HD Ram forums and start mod’ing a 2019 2500 CTD... at least I still have a 2018 4Runner to keep me grounded!60973E51-87D4-422F-A917-71F2ABD864BF.jpg

The wires are in the drivers side A pillar. The signal wires as well as a reverse trigger wire. Just posi-tap off that and run over to your head unit. Should be red and grey for signal and green for reverse trigger
