I spent my work day giving her a much needed bath :). Surprisingly, it's still pretty clean after my 17 mile ride home.20191221_142020.jpg

Was gifted these Led low beams and decided to see how they are. I've always been one to be against hids/leds in reflector housings.

They seem decent when installed correctly.

Replaced my worthless stubby antenna with a 17" fiberglass one from a local parts store. It was driving me nuts to have static on every radio station. Loved the look of the stubby but it was useless.

Debadged completely. Gonna wash and wax it tomorrow. Toyota made absolutely sure the I force 5.7 badge was not going to fall off. I have blisters from rolling that huge amount of glue off. Gonna run by work tomorrow and get my eraser wheel to finish it off. Then it's spa day for this thing. Gotta have it looking good for all the family to see it for the first time.

I just replaced my rear tailgate latch because my buddy locked it for me without telling me and when I went to open my tailgate a few days later, the handle just popped and broke because I tried too hard!:rofl:
At least my almost 12 year old truck has a shiny new latch!

    LEDs in reflector housing update:
Got pulled over by the popo on the first test drive. Got quoted for "equipment malfunction" .. too bright. 1st time I've ever heard of someone being pulled over for headlights too bright, and of course it's me. It was 11 o'clock and he probably thought I was driving around with high beams stuck on a county road. At least he was nice. Carried a conversation with him. Asked if it'll be enforced more since I see other reflector housings everywhere blinding folks. He couldn't give me a direct answer.

Anyways .. LEDs will go into the Camry which has halogen projectors. That was the initial plan anyways. Just wanted to see what all they hype was with these "new style" LEDs and how they were supposed to work in reflector housings.

Funny story .. I was actually driving to my usual test spot with a screwdriver (warehouse on flat ground) since my driveway is slanted. Couldn't even make it that far.

Gave it a decent bath but had to stop and wrap Christmas gifts. I could spend an entire week detailing it and still not be satisfied. 20191224_141744.jpg

I have disconnected the Negative terminal of my battery, and will reconnect in 90 minutes per instructions. This should allow the tune to properly adjust to my new free flowing cat-back exhaust.

Replaced my belt and idler pulley; but couldn’t replace the tensioner. Wasn’t about to chance trying to remove the middle bolt (6mm) hex without a good socket adapter. :(Hoping this will eliminate the periodical morning squeaking and what I can only describe as belt burn in the summer months. :fingerscrossed:

I've got the same occasional belt noise. Let us know if the noise is gone! Having a career as a mechanic I get a bad wrap for having noises like that. Need to get it taken care of.

Why didn't you just wait to use the eraser wheel for the whole thing?

The eraser wheel is pretty expensive to replace and the huge amount of 3m tape on our decals would have finished its life quickly. I got the biggest part of it by hand/fishing string then touched it up with the eraser. I also worry I'll burn the clear coat with the eraser wheel. So the less I have to use it the better off.

Picked up a few things for Black Friday/Christmas. Just waiting on some @Victory4x4 ditch light brackets for the @Caliraisedled lights.
Got the @Baja Designs squadron sports installed, next up the grill.

    Grill and fog lights installed

@vhstejskal Will do! Hopefully get the spacers on later this week if everything goes as planned. I was honestly surprised by the output of the Baja Design fogs. I know some people have posted about running with them all the time without an issue but I'm a bit weary right now lol. I'll try to get some output pics.

Installed JL c2-350x 3.5" in the corner dash. Running through the JBL amp for now (just these and the center on the factory amp) for now, the rest are running through a 75 wpc Kenwood (sub has it's own 2k watt Pioneer)

These will be getting an amp soon.

Driver side will need trimming, passenger fits covered no muss no fuss.

I still have a set of Victory 4x4 LCA skids that I need to put on :(. Never seem to find the time and want to find a 4 point lift to make install easier

a lift would be nice for not having to lay on the ground, but total time for both skids took about 10 minutes, only 3 bolts that go thru the LCA with a washer and nut to tighten on top. super easy

yeah but with the snow and where my truck gets parked (muddy parking spot on the lawn) it just doesn't seem like a good time. also haven't been offroading as much lately so I've just been putting it off. once I get a 3" lift I'll throw them on and start hitting some trails again
