Well I attempted the 3rd brake light install and......... EPIC FAIL!, Everything was rolling smoothly, got the headliner popped out , the 2 screws that were APITA! So when I went to pull the oem brake light out something was still holding it. I have no idea what it could be, and didn't want to force it so , head down in failure I put everything back. I also busted one of the bulbs getting them out. So now I ordered some leds to replace and gonna talk to service tech about possibly doing the installation. Anyone with any info or could shed some light on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I just tinted my oem 3rd brake light and replaced the oem bulbs with LEDs. Fuck all the drama to replace it. Lol. 3e2b7ff9d9c7c7f26f1d72742c0073e3_197555f601bed6176eabc14182fde84b0b25f99d.jpg7566d2005532b32ab6c583707a1f5a8d_a80cda806c1cf508a4827de536490da870367dfe.jpg

Thanks Ron, yeah I've read about every thread imaginable including this one. I have no clue as to why Toyota would design it like that.

Ok I think I have found a solution, I'm ditching the 3rd brake light swap and putting this right over my factory light along with some led upgrade. Thanks for the suggestions and comments, uploadfromtaptalk1459729511282.jpg

Auto Anything, I sent a email to the seller I bought the 3rd brake light from and he said that once you remove the 2 nuts you have to break the factory seal, I just didn't want to force it. Not trying to bring Alot of drama to this thread lol, so I will look into it and if I change my mind if anyone would be interested in the Trd cover, I will sell it at a discounted price. To be continued.......... o_O

That's what I'm most curious about too, I don't know whether you can put blocks/shackles on with air bags. Hopefully one of the guys will chime in. From what I've been told, the TC UCA's hold castor better and are more reliable.

That's the direction I'm looking at too. The problem is finding leafs that add 1-1.5" while not having the rear axle ride like a stagecoach.

No, I mean stagecoach like no load and stiffer than stock leaf springs. Maybe lumber wagon is a better term?

Oh i could deal with that change the shock tuning up or if you want should be able find a softer spring rate and go with a bit more bag pressure as required

coilovers delivered! Frehsly rebuilt or so he says, those shafts and resis look pretty clean, ill end up giving them a good cleaning with a wire brush and some cleaner and than lower them to level the truck for the short term
still deciding on my rear setup id like the icon piggybacks but not sure I want to dump 1500 into the rear shocks when i scored my coilovers for 500 CDN hahahaha

im seriosly considering calling ADS for some piggy back shocks in the short term or bilstein 5160's
Ill eventually get a coachbuilder shackle set-up but I kind of want to see what leaf spring options are out there first
