What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Workin on these. Color matching the area where the clear shows through. Tried to leave the reverse chrome, but the damn blue tape pulled off the super thin chrome.

 

What does that look like finished and the lights on

 

Went up to Dallas, TX to pick up a surprise (hopefully will be on the truck by this weekend, currently at powdercoat ) but was able to snag a platinum grill paint matched (not and a honeycomb insert as well. The honeycomb was in badddd shape. The previous owner tried to rattle can it white and it came out looking pretty rough. When he tried to sand it off, and kinda made a mess and he gave up about half way. He ended up throwing the grill in for free.

I actually sanded it a good bit and bedlined the whole thing. I think it came out awesome, but I gotta do a couple touch ups.

Also wanted to shout out @mgm16trdpro for the color matched hood bulge. Very trustworthy dude, and the part arrived exactly how he described online. Would definitely do business with him if I get the opportunity. Thanks for being so OCD and letting me take this off your hands lol

He hasn’t painted them yet. We just took them off last night while he was prepping his Sprint car parts for paint. I don’t know the brand of auto paint he’s using but they’ll get sprayed matte black later today when he paints the car.

Finally got to put my TVD Vinyl inlays on today. Another member here done this earlier and i liked it. Plus its cheap to do.
Now when i ordered them they sent me the wrong ones. So if anyone has a Tacoma and would like them just PM me and i can get them to you. I have the Tacoma ones for the doors and the one for the V6 badge.

Or were you referring to the headlights? If so then no. I threw those in shortly after I bought the truck. Had my headlight guy do some custom work on them to blackout the housing. He frosted the C- Bar and purchased some custom smoked reflectors. Haven't had the opportunity to park next to a '19 pro or any other truck with the '19 pro black headlights to compare. I'm sure the only noticeable difference I will see is maybe the smoked reflector and the subtle frost to my C-type led.

It's was eBay for both (already painted) Install wasn't bad
I had to drop the headliner for roof rack install so it's was easy.

Mod light update so far...got some excellent goodies coming in from @brimy311 and the good folks at Victory 4x4 so that’ll be pretty damn rad when it’s all installed.

Truck was tore apart trying to install an OEM remote start only to find out it was totally incompatible and the dealer couldn’t find any work around. So asked him to keep my panels off so I can delete chrome and silver.

Had my steering wheel panels wrapped in brushed metallic charcoal. Doesn’t quite match the Entune Radio but I’m ok with that as it’s on my long list of upgrades. I tried three times to plastidip my airbag emblem and could not get it trimmed out to save my freaking life. Now the chrome is peeling off it from cleaning it down so many times and reapplying. My dealer mechanic says it’ll never be right if I take it off. Thoughts???


Plastidipped the ugly chrome vent rings, and the as well as the dash panel surround in that bland silver. Tried three times to PD the chrome rings around the temp gauges and again struck out on 1 of the 3 rings several times. That point my care cup was empty with no more refills for the night.
My panel is still opened up because I f’d uo the camera install for my FRAC so had to reorder and work on reinstalling at some point.


Added bay area’s bed ties.


My vinyl wrap/tint/ceramic installer just got a new product in for 9h glass coatings so he told me to bring it by the shop this weekend and he’s also going to be taking off the dealer paint protect which is already yellowing and put Avery clear bra on it..should be interesting how the glass ceramic takes. The glass rejected the paint ceramic he put on so we shall see how it goes.

Hi nice setup @phogallen ..I also find my signals are dim. Question on the Amber JDM ASTARS 1260's. Amazon says no fit, and I am unable to locate the 1260s (or equiv) on JDM's site to confirm fit. Possibly these are manufacture discontinued? I think your OEM are also 7444NA was the turn signal install plug and play..or require resistors? TIA
