I’ll post a link HERE. It’ll say it better than I can.

    But it increases throttle response.

Tundra related bc was driving mine snapping pics. I had to, even though it was a ford super dookie, the thing was bad ass. Truck was a beast, swore he had true beadlocks on at the very least 40's, loaded with BD lights in bumper and bad ass camper in bed. Pretty cool setup. Hey when u see something cool u gotta give it props regardless of make.20180810_161037.jpg

The side and rear profile were really badass. His spare tire was built into the back of the camper. Was mounted in a big square cutout. Unfortunately I was driving at the time so couldn't get good shots. I tried.

So nuff bout Fords. Here's what I had my 3rd son doing today, putting him to work. Probably towing at least10,000 lbs of wet unseasoned firewood offroad, oh yeah. Unloaded like a caged animal. Already tucking them tires in and not even loaded yet. Fyi, it's not the weight it's uneven terrain, I'm parked up higher on passenger side.
    20180810_164351.jpg
    20180810_164232.jpg

Time to put a whole lotta this in there.
    20180810_164322.jpg

Whole lot of real estate there to load up.
    20180810_164400.jpg

Here he is all unhappy ready to roll, but having to wait to be all loaded up.
    20180810_173011.jpg

Off the beaten path and back into a pavement princess. Even though very unneeded I'll usually take the extra min to drop him into 4 high and low while offroad for a little bit just to keep the juices going for those midnight snow storm main break call ins.
    20180810_181112.jpg

A bunch of miles later, effortlessly up the giant mountain and a whole bunch of hills up into the nosebleed section, then backed in like it wasn't even back there to its unloading point. Stacking on pallets in the far corner of the yard with the quad and small trailer comes tomorrow. It's my 2nd full time job.
    20180810_185803.jpg

Finally got to eat around 10pm, took my 2nd smallest real son to grab some pizza.
    20180810_212615.jpg

But before I go I gotta mention this (cant say little) piece of equipment. Think it weighs about 80lbs and it's beastly. This thing is worth every single extra ounce of weight it adds. It's built incredibly solid, very durable, and beyond versatile. Anyone who does any offroad trailering or even tows anything heavy on road I highly recommend it. It's not for everyone and it's very pricey. But this thing makes towing like a dream. It eliminates all the bounce, shake, rattle, and sway off both my truck and trailer. The 10k Gen Y torsion hitch is NOT a gimmick. It works. It's like an insurance policy on my truck. Anytime you hit a bump with the truck or trailer the connected piece doesn't feel it. There's a good YouTube video online of a guy towing a horse trailer that shows it in action. Besides just making for a more comfortable tow, you can't tell me it don't help protect and add longevity to your truck's components when beating it up towing. This is that bad boy here.
    20180810_164155.jpg
It even has a nice little built in scale feature. I mean it's nothing crazy and don't tell you exactly how much tongue weight you're carrying in lbs. But if u notice the white line, unloaded it's even with the 1st triangle tip. The middle is 1500 lbs in tongue weight and where you want to be for the torsion bars in the hitch to flex at their optimal capacity giving you the most comfortable ride by allowing the hitch to flex. The bottom tip tells you're entering the realm of having too much tongue weight. It will still work just not as good as it should. You're essentially overworking and maxing it out.

    Heres unloaded trailer tongue
    20180810_164705.jpg

Heres loaded and where you want the scale to be in the area of. This will allow the hitch to work at its max potential. Again, nothing fancy but very effective.
    20180810_183425.jpg

I don't need a hitch to tell me the total weight like a weigh safe. I always have an idea of the weight I'm towing so a weigh safe, although cool, don't do anything for me. Tongue weight, however, can be very deceiving. This little built in scale ain't the .ost high tech scale but it gets the job done. I already know going in if it's much more than 10k lbs my truck ain't towing it. Not bc it can't, but bc I won't allow it to. I know manufacturers ratings will always air on the side of caution so I wouldn't worry too much exceeding 10k lbs by 1-2k. I'm more concerned about the payload in the bed and total truck gvwr over towing ratings. I'm the type of guy who gets a 10k hitch rating bc that's the suggested max for my vehicle. I'm definitely not this guy lol
    FB_IMG_1531065481131.jpg
But for those with huge campers or other bigger diesel trucks to tow these much higher weights and need a much higher tongue weight rest assured Gen Y also makes bigger hitches. Any questions, feel free to ask. If u bite the bullet and purchase this hitch you will love it. Anyone in the market for a hitch, u should definitely check them out. They make all different high quality stuff, from steps, to basic drop hitches, to hitch tightener, ect. I did much research before buying mine and couldn't find anyone poo pooing 1 of their products. Definitely worth checking them out imo.

Yup, exactly, that's what it said on it. I figured it was expensive. The setup on it was sick. Tell you what, if I didn't have a family and job I wouldn't mind living out of it the way it looked just from outside. I'm guessing the inside has to be sick too. 1st time I've ever seen 1 in person. I even slowed down to like 35mph in a 55 mph just to let him catch up after I originally blew by at like 80mph lol. Would be cool to take that thing across country and just live on trails in different states. The guy driving and the dog in co pilot looked like they might have been doing just that.

Tnx for info, I'll look into later. Not that I can buy 1 now.

@Jim LE 1301 so how does it feel to be 99% positive ur correct and that remaining 1% makes u wrong? Lol I'm just busting ur chops, u thought u could get away with deleting it real fast and no one would know didn't u? I caught it though lol. It may have been deleted from the thread but it came up as a notification in my email and I just happen to be that much of a dick to call attention to it lol.
Don't take my jokes the wrong way, I'm just busting ur chops. I haven't forgotten the help you tried giving me when I was looking for the bedslide either. Just looked at the roamer, good God, half a mil to start, that's crazy. Looks like the way to do it would be buying someone else's mistake. They pay say $600k, then 3 yrs later when the vehicle only has 30k miles, you buy it for less than half new. Even that's crazy though, I mean 3 yr old vehicle with 30k something miles, going for more than a quarter mil. Guess shattered dreams for me. I won't be spending a half or quarter mil anytime soon, or at all, ever. They look really cool though. Looks like the market them as buying into a prestigious group. Pretty good idea, not only do they appear to be bad ass vehicles with endless amounts of possibilities they also market them as like buying into a select group of owners and adventures. Looks like they purposely keep production low too bc u know the ol saying, people want what they can't have. Luckily for me I'm not actively looking to make more friends and have zero desire to be a member of anymore groups.

All good. I deleted it because I realized I was wrong after noticing the decals on the side and the female passenger. POTUS has a similar one in the motorcade.

Laid some bad ass vinyl by @DecalsByDesign. Man these things are really high quality! I have some pretty delicate areas on this and had no issues w/them at all. Great job w/the design!

Just realized you've done exactly what I'm wanting to do to my reverse and cargo lights. What did you use to smoke them?

Installed my $15 dash cam. Not sure how I feel about having the camera visible when parked in sketchy (and not so sketchy) areas. dc1.jpg

What that guy is referring to isn't actually factory tint. It's port or dealer installed front tint. The privacy glass (tinted) from the factory is only on the rear doors and rear windshield, and you are correct, it is not removable. From that guy's post, he was talking about matching the rear windows, meaning he's talking about the front windows. Front windows come untinted from the factory, but when he bought it the truck must have already had the front windows tinted. SO that means it was a port-installed (He's in Alabama, so truck goes from the TX factory to the SouthEast Toyota distribution point aka the port where they can add a bunch of stuff to it, then to the dealer). Or the dealer got it from the South East Toyota (SET) dist. port and then had it tinted.

Either way, BLUF - adding window tint is not possible from the true "factory". You can't remove true factory tint from tinted windows (aka privacy glass). :)

After seeing your auto vent shade I went out and got mine for a double cab, but I am having an issue making the tab that goes behind the mirror to fit correctly without bending the mirror plastic up. Can you send a picture of it close up or explain how it is supposed to be installed.

Does yours mount with 3m tape or a suction cup? (I did not think the the suction cup that came with this cheap camera would mount to the section of the windshield with the little black bumps.)

Added a front vanity plate to rep my boat ownership.
