How did you end up running the wire to hide it so well. You tapped into the cargo light? Where did you tap into that? I wanna do this asap. It looks really good in your truck.

    Thanks brotha!
I don't know that it would have been any harder. You might end up with more material bunching up in the handle.
That said, I made a template and cut the leather a little bigger, and any trimming I did, I double checked the fitment over and over...stretching and smoothing out the leather to mitigate any wrinkles. I would imagine the same process would work with the stitching going the other way.
I put it on the underside of the handle, to try and match the design of the steering wheel.

If willing to read til end, imo it gets a little funny. Just hope u got the time to get there.
Gave my 3rd son a bath over the weekend.
20180804_193831.jpg 20180804_193836.jpg It's crazy with the artic coating, real foamy soap or not the ish just slides right off. I swear I don't think I even need soap for it. Just a powerwash and leafblow dry would do it.

Of course I forgot the finish pics but trust me it looks great like the day after I picked it up from getting coated. Time for an inside clean, some aerospace 303, invisiglass, and a leather clean should do it. Gonna hit up my black trim plastic over this weekend with some wax addict tyre feeder, make it look like new. The fade to white in the windshield cowl and grill small squares is starting to bother me.

I also picked up from service center today. When I jacked it up to paint calipers red since I had 4 stands but only 1 jack I felt the need to jack it up on the middle crossmember, of course, not removing the skid plate. Ever since it's been creaking like a sob making it sound like I have a 20 yr old p.o.s., was driving me crazy and getting worse each week.

Turn the wheel, hit a bump, go over any uneven terrain, it was there. Even with the new sound system drowning it out I heard it quite often. So after dealing with it for far too long and once a couple knuckleheads at work mentioning how shitty it sounded was the last draw, I brought it in to service since under warranty still. I couldn't allow a bunch of pansy driving fools talk crap about such an awesome truck over a couple creaks and squeaks that I caused and was willing to live with a little longer. I couldn't give them that happiness to believe for a second longer that a tundra was a p.o.s. I knew I had to squash their satisfaction immediately once that was said.

Despite my reluctance to drop it off at service worrying I'll pick it up with a 3rd time door ding I also figured why should I deal with it and drop skid when I could have them do it while I'm at work. I knew I couldn't get to it right away and I absolutely had to crush their beliefs and satisfaction. Since mine already had the skid spacer wedge shim in it and never made any noise before I jacked it up, I brought it in and told them exactly where the skid was rubbing on the crossmember.

They confirmed my belief of location evidenced with 4 pretty obvious bare metal spots from rubbing. Tech had to leave a tiny space b/t cross member n skid like 1/8". Some nylon washers did the trick. If it comes back over time the tech and I already have a plan to slap a thin piece of leather between skid n crossmember.

But for now, no more squeak and now the boys at work cant talk smack anymore saying I drive a clunker. Bunch of ford n dodge queens. I'm only 1 of 2, a 250k mile 1st gen and mine, to be blessed to have a tundra in a parking lot full of nothing but about 30 pickups.

When the lot is full there's nothing but rows and rows like this. I tell them my poor truck gotta deal with be surrounded by such crap everyday. I tell them if I had anything but a Tundra the truck probably wouldn't start every day just knowing its gotta sit parked next to a bunch of pieces of crap all day long. Knowing that, being surrounded day in and day out by so much garbage I'm surprised that the truck has the will to start up in the morning. Tell them if it was anything but a Tundra I'd have to call out and be showing up late all the time with car trouble if my truck was anything else knowing what was coming each day in that parking lot of garbage. Then I'll say wait a second, that's not nice, I should be thanking all you guys for driving such shitty pickups, it's because your bad choice and taste in a vehicle that makes my truck look so god damn great everday. Thanks guys keep buying those shitty imports supporting other country's economies. Ah man the smack talk at my job gets real, it really never stops either, all day everday.

Wow, I just went up to the store real quick and I 100% agree with everyone else on the light output of these things. It's pretty amazing, and not just compared to the original headlights.

Some in the album that's linked. The LED DRL's don't add much usable light. The pins on the LED bar harness can be switched to match the switch on the OEM harness if you want to keep the high/low feature in the 2nd gen bar.

Lol that's how it is too. Take the row u see and by the time everyone gets there multiply it by 4, with only 1 more Tundra mixed in. In the other lot it's the same. But they do have 1 more additional Tundra and a Tacoma.4 total yotas surrounded by nothing but ford, dodge, chevy. Yet it seems for some reason I'm the only 1 who gets into it with everyone, probably bc I got the nicest and haters gonna hate. Lol
