So stoked right now! Just picked up my Relentless Fabrication Defender bumper today. First thing to do (other than repainting) is get the 12k winch mounted along with some LEDs.

There are a few small dings and scratches on the edges, along with some powdercoat flaking off or gone, but -- to be honest -- that's to be expected sometimes when ordering parts like this shipped via freight; also, I'm not one to complain (much). The bumper is gonna get scratched eventually so I'm just going to end up rattle canning the cosmetic defects with some flat black Rust-Oleum with a quick bed liner topcoat to top it off. Function over form when it comes to bumpers but Relentless achieved both with this beast.

Installed my Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator today. The unit fixes the odometer readings also. This was a mod way overdue because when the truck read 80mph I was actually going about 86. I've been running 37s since around 5k on the odometer and now it reads 36k but I'm sure it's really supposed to be at least 40k.

No pictures of the actual install since the hardware is stowed away behind the instrument cluster panel but I did mess around with the ICP while I had it out by painting it white and blue to match the ongoing theme of Pluto. Had some fun with the 90-120mph readouts, too.

You have to both cut and drill a lot of the fenders and bedsides. A lot.

Sy inspired me to finally do this. Grill came off much easier than expected. I just wasn't a fan of all that chrome on the grill so this is a happy medium. It'll do until I have the money to drop on a TRD grill. Next mods are probably N-Fabs and Spyder headlights and I'm done for a while. Level goes in on Friday.

The after pic is up there Ron. All I did was plastic-dip the chrome in the center and left the chrome surround.

Ha.. the blue tape you put on first to spray it makes it look like you did the body color surround. I think that is what he was talking about, because that is what I first thought. Ha, looks good!

Ask @r4z0r51o If I remember correctly, Dave had black grille insert with chrome surround, kind of like yours. Then got black spyders, which made him get rid of the chrome surround because he didn't like them together. So then he got a TRD Pro Grille with color matched surround.

So potentially these headlights in black can cost an additional $500 on top of the lights. And your plastidipping would have been for naught. But I definitely like the black ones better.

Yep, that's what happened. I was very happy with the chrome surround but once I installed my black spyders the chrome had to go.

If you buy the clear/chrome it doesn't have too ...

Whoops, too late! Hopefully you can be happy with how the black spyders go with the chrome surround. If not, the painters tape thing works ... lol.

By the way, the black ones look better since the LED strip stands out better and are easier to see during the day.
