What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Sooooo how is this better than say one from the store?

 

I just researched it while I was online and it is precision made to the front windshield inside and it literally fits perfect I didn't go shopping in stores. This is exclusively made for the 2014 through 2017 Tundras

 

installed color matched front bumper end caps... easy to do, just removed the entire bumper not the grill and reinstalled with new end caps.

Did you purchase colored or have them painted?

 

i bought a take off of set from a silver tundra and had them painted to match mine... guy wanted chrome when he bought his and had these sitting around.

 

Damn!! Good for you but I have a Silver Limited with chrome and want colored.

 

Toyota makes the front bumper end caps in plastic and you can have a shop paint them for you so as you're not running around without a front bumper and having a shop paint the Chrome ones that you have therefore you don't have to worry about that body shops prep on the Chrome

 

Yea I do want some but it's not a big deal right now. But to find someone that already had them and wanted my chrome ones that would be a great find.

what else do you need in silver? i can ask to see.. i believe the grille surround and bulge are still out there. as well as the rear bumper covers

Claims 40deg cooler. Let me know how it does. Even with tinted windows mine turns into an oven after a few hours.

 

Looks good. Like how that turned out with the chrome surround still on. Not common to see the end caps done first...

 

Agree I have the same. I just picked one up locally at the dealer while i was there for something else. Coverage is like 99.93

Worth the money then? I wouldn't mind having something for every window. Specially with having kids

Thanks but between needing to replace my factory tires here soon, possible suspension upgrade, and having a $1,000 rash that an anonymous person left on my back fender at a boat ramp I really don't need to spend money on cosmetics right now. Unless the price is too good to be true .

As I wait for my bedslide boxes to arrive and my appointment for artic coating, I figured a nice cheap easy addition was in store. I broke my cardinal rule that it not only got to look cool but also serve a purpose. Just kinda looks cool and I think goes nice with the black n red interior of the pro. Wait a second, I just thought of a purpose. To be different? Yeah that's it, that works for me. I jumped in on the Tufskinz memorial day sale. Seems like a solid product. Something to consider, if anyone wants to rid themselves of the chrome ring a.c. vents, the co also sells peel and stick rings for that too. Eventually when I get all the bigger things done, I'll figure out what I'm going to do with that hideous chrome cup holder blinder and a.c. vents

Just a little install advice. If u happen to be blessed like me with the ocd gene, spend the extra 10 seconds to line your grains up matching them all flowing east/west, left/right, ect. If u zoom in on mine u can see my OCD in action, how I had to have them all with the grains going the same way, looking the same.

No offense to anyone who didn't do that and already installed them, but that would drive me crazy. It's really only the cup holders where that can get thrown off. I'm guessing many just don't care and it don't bother them. Just trying to help anyone OCD'd up like myself, who might decide to get these, where little things like that might drive them crazy, avoid installing them all and realizing at the end when they're all set and can't do anything about them, help avoid the lines not flowing the same and it smacks u in the face everyday being the 1st thing u notice when u jump in ur truck. If u zoom in on the cup holders u can see what I mean about the lines matching up.

 

I'm gonna have to get those A/C vent rings.

 

I don't have myself but if the recent addition is any indication of their quality I'm guessing they're pretty good. I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do with the chrome inside the truck. Paint, plasti dip, hydrodip, or just a cover like that, I haven't made up my mind yet. I'm leaning toward a hydrodip for all the chrome. Just trying to tackle all the bigger more important stuff 1st. I'll save that for when I get the itch between or waiting to get shipped the bigger stuff 1st. I gotta save up for some sliders so I don't have to be afraid venturing off road.

 

I plastidipped the chrome cup holder piece. Takes minutes. Just pops out with a trim tool. Best possible thing you can do to the inside of the truck.
