There's also a black TRD shift knob, which I don't have dammit.

No good for just using the top of the cover as the base? If not, what about laying a couple temporary cross bars across my existing bed cover rails when using the tent? Would the cross bars need to bolted down or could I get away with just laying across or finding a way to tie them down to my existing rails?

You need a rail/bar with space underneath for the RTT mount hardware. This pic should give you the idea.

    See fine print
Depends how many lbs your rails can hold. Safe route would to bolt on cross bars that have quick releases if you are not running them. Either way a rtt is heavy and you want to properly secure it.

Mines rides better with tires and level too.

Everyone asks me about my mileage and my response is: who cares, didnt buy the truck as a commuter.

What size tires do you have?

Installed ultragauge, still unsure where I want to mount it. One thing is for sure these trucks run hot on the trans fluid side, it's between 185-196 without me pulling my trailer today. 20180525_105307.jpg

FedEx just dropped off my painted mirror caps and handles :) from Sparks.

Handles were very easy. If anyone is concerned with the screw falling into the door...it is attached to the plastic insert thing. You can confidently unscrew w/o worrying if it will fall out.

The mirror caps... They were a bit more challenging both coming off and putting on. It felt like the tabs would break, but they didn't. The bottom part of the cap is where to start (I found it easier to start on the bottom corner closer to the window) and get a pry tool to push up. After some pressure you will hear the tabs disengage. Then pull straight off. Putting caps on, set the bottom tabes first as then slide down, then the middle and tops push in. Had to again put more pressure than I initially thought I would.

I will put my chrome handles and mirror caps for sale in the marketplace forum.

Got the tonneau installed. Tonno Pro from AutoAnything. 4200 reviews with a 4.5/5 rating and a price that can’t be beat. Time will tell how it does. Quality seems very good!

They come loose? I have rubber in there between the clamp and bed and they are cranked down good as can be with them being a plastic “nut”.

Not loose, but they shift around around over time/driving/vibration. They haven't come off completely, but they can turn. Opener an closing the tailgate will move the cover around.
