Quite a few modifications had to be done to the light bracket and the front bumper to get The desired look I was going after.. Which was more of a factory appearance. But to answer your question the light is mounted to the aluminum front bumper.

I went in after seeing the video and on the app screen it did not show me or give me the USB option. Do I have to have it connected?

To upload it, yep. Let it sync for a few seconds, and then bring it up on the menu options.

what brand of fender flares do you have on your truck. They look great on there. Did they come painted or did you have to get it done?
    Thanks

Just a few, more to come
Did a rough install (need to attach it more solidly) of a Tekonisha P3 trailer brake controller and picked up a 20ft 10K rated car/utility trailer today. I'll 'Live' a pic in the morning.
First time towing with the Tundra and it did great on the 40mi drive back to my shop.
Only 2600lbs empty but it pulled 70mph through headwinds up 6% grade just fine. Trailer seemed to track very stable behind the truck even up to 75mph, but we'll see if that changes with a load(vehicle). Still plan to add an anti-sway system to the hitch/trailer for peace of mind. I'll haul some things around for the shop to better get an idea of how the truck/trailer work together before loading up my 4runner on it and driving 750mi to Moab UT at the end of the month.

I can't seem to get this to work...

I saved the image to a thumb drive as a JPEG, and used all caps in the title, but the truck is telling me it doesn't recognize any photos on the thumb drive. Anyone else have this problem?

Here at work we do the "RTFM" procedure: Read The F*****g Manual. Comes in handy occasionally. I constantly have techs come up to me and ask, " how does this work?". I say, "Did you read the manual?' Tech "no". I say "goodbye". Of course I have never been guilty if this. (sarc)

Did you let the thumb drive sync for a few moments first prior to going into the menu portion?

I figured out the problem via another thread I found... You have to make a folder on the thumb drive named "StartupImage" and "ScreenOffImage" (case-sensitive) and put the pictures in there.

After that - it worked exactly as described.

    Picked up this guy today.

Its pretty slick - very "machined", and quite heavy. didn't really care for the stock shift knob. However, I don't think I cared enough to pay the $95 for this one, had it not been for the parts voucher they gave me. The truck was supposed to have had the clear door-edge guards on it, but when it arrived, it didn't. I told them they could install them, or give me a voucher for parts. They chose the latter.

Lol! It must be the camera angle. It's actually a little lower profile than the stock one.

Also ordered CBI ditch light brackets while at the Overland Expo last weekend in Flagstaff. Now to decided on lights.

I think I am going to but a dash cam...any recommendations?

Oh, gave her a small bath today as we have a few days without major rain in the forecast...vacuumed her out, cleaned the vinyl, and polished the tires.

Got the new side steps on the new truck this evening. Took about 45 with unpacking, installing, and taking pictures. Notice how much longer the shipping box was then rails. At first I thought they sent me the wrong size. As the box is about 3' longer then the rails.

Brackets came in and got the stamp of approval from my quality department.

Got the truck tinted today. Being in Las Vegas and now hitting three-digit temps, tint is a must. 5% in the back three windows, 15% front side windows. They did a great job and you wouldn't have guessed what I paid out the door!

Damn thats dark! Limo dark for your backseat passengers!
I did 35% all around in mine and it's decently dark. Sometimes wish I did 15/20 on the fronts, but hey at least I cant get a ticket for my tint.

You dont really see any cars without any tint here. Plus they seem to be more lenient out here because of the heat, but i guess only time will tell :notsure:

$100 out the door (tip not included) and it came out really good. Its not your walmart special film or high end ceramic or nano-hybrid film but a dyed-metal hybrid with lifetime warranty. Quality and price couldnt be beat at any other shop offering the same product. Saves money for other mods
