U just jinxed yourself lol. Do some research on these. Not trying to discourage you, but I've heard the newer gen Tundras are particularly hard to get apart cleanly, damn permaseal. Good luck either way, just wanted to let u know before u dive in.

I love the way lifted trucks look! But I will never go down that road again. I have a 2008 GMC 2500HD that I put in close to 20G. Winter comes along and with all the ice the sweet AT’s are pretty much useless so you have this cool looking truck that you end up haveing to install skinny ass winters on, looks horrible. Not to mention of you use your truck lots and your in that box all the time it sucks. You would think having a lifted truck would deter people from reaching over the side to load material in or out,,,, NOPE! There they are on their tippy toes reaching and scratching the shit out of your truck. If you mostly use your truck for Dailey driving and aren’t in the box much, live somewhere warm, then maybe. That would be the only way I would do it again. But that’s just my opinion.

Forgot to mention that I ended up giving that truck to my main guy to use while he was making arrangements for another truck. That was 5 years ago and you should see that truck now.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
    Eduard,

Thanks for the offer but I spent a little to much on my Tundra.

I gotta focus more on the kiddos for Christmas.

    For now I’ll pass.

    Thanks!

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
    Started some carbon wrap work.
Planning to do the interior in the weeks ahead, but I've got a few exterior pieces to tend to first.
Debating if I want to continue across the center bar. I intentionally oriented the pattern downward toward the centerline on each side, with the intent of turning the pattern upward across the center bar, to meet in the middle.
Coincidentally, I sort of like the natural color fade from the MGM, to carbon, to black. Decisions....

I actually like it like that. I would keep the center black. Post a pic of the entire grill.

Yea... I'm thinking I might just keep it as is. The carbon wrap is 5D, so from a distance, it's color and gloss almost looks like MGM. The 5D is one of the most realistic wraps IMO.
I'll get some pics of the full grille tomorrow, out in the daylight. The lighting inside doesn't do it justice.

Wow. Is that avail on Amazon? Is it harder or easier than the regular 3M carbon wrap to apply?

You can find in on Amazon, ebay. I think I got mine off of ebay. It seems to be a little thinner than the 3M Di Noc. The only other 3M that I've used had a matte finished and was physically textured. I used it on the engine cover below. The 3M didn't flex as well, probably b/c it's thicker.

The 5D definitely flexes better and responds to heat very well...maybe to well at times. A hair dryer doesn't seem hot enough, and the heat gun I have (which only has two settings, low or high) was almost to hot. Even on low, I had to be very careful. To much heat and it can warp with little or the wrong directional pressure. I'll pick up a digital heat gun before I do the interior.

I really wanted to remove the black insert from the MGM surround, so I could wrap around the outer edge, instead of having to tuck down by the painted surround. Had to be very careful not to damage the edge, even tho I covered it with painters tape.
The clips on the black insert are not made for on/off removal.

All said tho, the 5D looks more realistic than any of the other types I've seen. There's several Youtube vids out comparing the different types.

Just thought I'd let anyone know who might be interested as I am. Temptation has won over me again. This Friday DAP tuning is running a black friday sale on their remote tunes and other goodies. It is for this day only, so pay attention to any time zone difference.

For less than the price of just his remote tune normally, on the Black Friday sale I will be getting the stage 2 which includes the tune, handheld, AFE filter, ect. I said I wasn't going to do it until the new year, oh well, I lied. The Black Friday $100+ off sale made me do it.

I hit a nice deer with it today. Sent that sucker flying at 35 mph. Went back to find it.....gone. Hood, front grille, right headlight destroyed.

Truck has less than 2k miles. Yeah, glad I got that first blemish out of the way....I love having to paint a new truck.

I'm fine thanks. I bought the inferno color thinking there is no way anyone could miss this thing coming. It looks like a driving traffic cone. I didn't factor in irrational suicidal animals.

I got T-boned in my last two silver trucks, so figured no excuses this time. Just totaled a 2016 SR5 DC Silver Sky Metallic.

    Sorry to hear that.

I am wondering if the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection on the 2018 models would detect a deer and try to avoid the collision.

Might be worth looking into getting that pro grille and 2018 LED headlight upgrades. Just pay a little out of pocket on top of what your insurance covers.
