    Looks like a relay box for a switch panel, similar to the auxbeam switch panels and other models

    If you live, travel, or ever find yourself anywhere that has cat theft issues, my vote would be for cat theft protection first...

    It's generally covered by insurance but what a PITA it is to deal with and potentially be done for an extended time over!!

    Those look like RCI skids. They have the "wings" that bolt to them for the cat protection.

    I second that opinion. It's not a sexy choice, but probably the wisest one.
