I ordered trans fluid and crush washers for trans and rear diff in prep for drain/refill on those components.

I used Fred Anderson. Thank you Tundras.com and members for the information to get a good discount!

Heading out to do my first oil change. Will post pictures when done.

Well, had a nice write up but it all "went away". Call me thumbs.
    Simple, easy, clean oil change.

Changed the spark plugs at 82K Replaced with OEM plugs and no anti seize. Teton pass, WY is hard on plugs. Should have done it 20K ago.

Looks pretty good without the sticker on the bed. Maybe I fully debadge. Need to go get some goo gone to get the last of the adhesive off.

Edit--- my post came back in the editor. I apologize for some duplication here...

    Done with oil change.

    Really easy one to do.
No raising the vehicle, even I can get under it easily.

Drain plug and filter are right up near the front, so you don't have to get too far under to get to business.

This oil was supposedly changed by the dealer I bought it from, and I put 910 miles on it, but it was dirtier than I would have expected.

I also question if the oil was 0w20, it seemed more viscous, but who knows. Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me...

The crush washer showed signs of over-torqueing as it was very crushed...

I didn't need to futz around draining the oil filter housing, I just put a pan under it and removed it. No big deal and really no more oil than any other vertical mount spin-on that I have done in the past.

The fancy motivx tool fit overly tight in my opinion; I had to gently tap it fully in place, but it worked.

I also had to put it in a vice and wiggle my housing back out of the tool. I sprayed it all down with brake cleaner to tidy up.
The filter that was in the housing was non-oem. We are back to Toyota now.

All in all one of the easier and cleanest oil changes I have done over the years.

The Motivx funnel is awesome, I hope it fits a couple other vehicles I have!

    Anyway, pictures.

Yeah they were beat to shit! I do have a DAP tune so I need to change them more often. Maybe every 40K just to be safe. Hammer up a 10% pass 2 days a week works on the motor. Super straight forward job. Stealership wanted $650 for spark plug job.

Just make sure you buy OEM plugs, or purchase them from a reputable dealer - meaning NOT Amazon or EBay.

I’m well familiar with that pass. I bet your brakes hate you… hahah.

Gear down, that helps a lot on brakes. I only buy my plugs from Toyota dealers. Truck needed new plugs bad, feels more crisp. Motor running smooth. Not that it was running bad before. 5.7 a tough motor.

Super easy as long as you have a few different socket extensions and a wobbly. Takes maybe an hour.

Finally found some time to connect a front camera to the headunit. I installed a kenwood deck months ago, followed by a front camera. The camera wire was through the firewall grommet and hanging loose for a while.

all wired up now and working great!!

Gotta say I dig the shadow effect left behind. Reminds me of the "ghost flames" they used to paint on cars.
