Took the truck for my normal drive to and from gym and work today and yes, bumps that were harsher in the 37s are for sure smoother in the 35s - it was nice. Taking some of those bumps in the 37s wasn't the best, it felt like I was driving my old f350 plow truck at times and that wasn't fun. I didn't expect it to make that big of a difference, just home from the shop to my house, but you could tell right away how the ride was smoother. I do believe that has mostly to do with the Load range and not my change in preload on the coilovers that was done.

I cannot tell the difference in weight however, I lost 19.xx lbs per corner and I don't feel any faster, or increased acceleration, nor decreased roll resistance from dead stop to then letting off the brakes and starting to roll out.

I will say even 24 hours later the look of the 35s is still strange. They look okay but man 37's just look way better it's crazy considering this truck came with a 275/65/r18 I think haha.

*** IF I could figure out this damn front suspension/driver lean issue AND they made a 37x11.5x17 (or 12.5) in a C Range, I would have stayed with 37's but there just aren't enough options.

So after all my ramblings -- yes going from 37s E to 35 C the overall ride quality is definitely smoother and I am glad I make the switch - it's very noticeable to me.

    Too many mods to come

Add a small spacer to the lower side rather than cranking the spring etc

was my thought as well but the bolts don’t poke through enough, after the spacer is added, to get a nut on the top and tighten it down more than 1 thread. I reached out to kings to get a new top hat without the bolts pre-pressed in and then find longer bolts to press into it but they keep saying it’s very highly not recommended to add a spacer at all. It’s a conundrum lol.

Pretty sure I had small one on mine with no issues (been awhile since its been midtravel) but yea if they can adjust the hat with longer hardware. https://shop-coachbuilder.myshopify...ilder-strut-coilover-shim-provides-50-of-lift

yup got 2 of those shims sitting in my kitchen right now lol. That’s my next step is to just buy a new top hat and have the longer bolts pressed into it.

but for now it sits 0.5 inches different which is a whole lot better than 1.75 that it was. I’m enjoying the levelness now lol.

Maybe it’s just the world telling me to scrap mid travel and just go full long travel. :monocle:

1.75” difference is crazy I don’t understand how that would be possible either. What’s it at now after adjusting the kings? Almost seems like you might have 2 different rated coils on there by mistake somehow.

That might very well be what I need! I just gotta see what size/length are in the 3.0's right now first to be safe. I don't know if 2.5's are different from 3.0's.

    Thank you for the link!!!

THIS ^^^ We need more 37s in load C for sure. So many guys in 1/2 ton trucks now run 37s not to mention all the Jeeps that do. Many run the BFG KOs that were deisgned for the raptor. BUT those are only in a 17" rim.

The manual just stipulates using Tranny fluid with Dexron III (I think mine included Dexron II option as well).

Nice! 1 for each vehicle I'm guessing. They definitely feel like great quality right out the box. I did my first oil change with the ValvoMax a few weeks ago and it was a breeze.

You could try resetting your trans shifting by disconnecting your battery for a bit and have it relearn. Also ,don't think it would make a big difference, but changing tire size radius from the 37 to 35 may help for gear shift schedule, in hptuners or your tuner shop.

Actually the trans shift points don’t get reset from taking the battery cable off, you have to reset it inside the computer and trigger a relearn; it does reset idle tho

Just purchased this out of San Diego and got to drive it to Boise Idaho. I have 5 Rock Warrior wheels that I am going to install 37"x11.5" tires on. Sad to see my RCSB go, but this is going to work out nicely for what my wife and I do 7493129767492857608.jpg

I did have to use a scan tool for a total reset when I changed to a larger throttle body. I thought the shift adaptive learning was reset for driving habits but may have been for earlier years. Thanks.
