Man... Did my transmission drain and fill but forgot to bypass the external thermostat sensor earlier this morning. I had to add more and redo the fluid level.

I'm not sure what would happen if i don't bypass the external sensor and I don't want to find out.

 

Which dash cam are you guys running or recommend getting?

I have the FITCAMX. One thing I do not like it does not monitor when parked, only when truck is on. Rear camera mount isn’t the best.

if I had to do over I would go with a different brand

 

I don't think it hurts anything at all, it's just a t-stat. If you don't pin it, your fluid in the cooler doesn't get cycled through the system when you do the 'check plug' procedure.

Just did mine yesterday.

 

LOL Bothered me way more than any chrome trim piece, or any other aesthetic mod. To each his own.

 

I refilled with a little over half quart. I got out only about 1/2 of what I put in before I start gargling. Then I closed it up.

I feel better about the second time around. I just didn't want to put less than what the transmission needed.

What temp did you pull the check plug at?

 

I did it at 105. It's kind of in the middle between 99 and 115.
