Update. Let’s play a game. In the picture attached, is that engine oil or 103k transmission fluid? I’ll give you all a hint, it’s not engine oil. Pulled out about 3.5 quarts. Put in 4 quarts and realized when I got to temp, my check plug is rusted and round so I can’t get it off. Any ideas? Or send it.

 

Spray it down with PB blaster and let it set for a minute. Clamp a set if vice grips on the as tight as you can get them. Use a hammer on the vice grip to break the rust loose. If you have a blow torch, heat around the bolt of course being careful not to start any fires. It may take several applications of each to get it loose.

Installed the FRAC harness today. Took longer than expected since i had to extend the wires for the switch and the local home improvement stores don’t carry 20awg wire . So the interior was torn apart for a day while i awaited my Amazon shipment of wire.

 

That’s what I’m going to do. Even after spraying it with pb and letting it soak then using an alley key, it’s rusted and rounded with barely any pressure.

 

You may can get a pair of vise grips on it enough to get it off

 

Did you ever figure this out?

 

Yep just got it off that way. Worked since it wasn’t super tight. Just an awkward angle. Ended up draining about a half quart through it.

Figure I'm headed this route before end of year. OEM fan bearings are making a bit of noise this past month.
