The stock motor can’t handle that but can be built to handle that. The crank would remain stock. Upgraded pistons and rods etc would happen to hold 800-1000hp with lower compression to be more boost friendly. Stock motors about 700-750 is about the limits. The transmissions the weakest link but there’s upgrades to those or even transmission swaps happening by a few

Wow, still 700-750 hp is very impressive imo. And yeah the lower compression for the blower. Gotchya. And tranny swaps? Have you done those or do you get the OEM beefed up?

Couple members here are doing 4L80 swap and one’s working on an 8speed. Most of us are upgrading the valve body to hold power.

That's such cool stuff!! Thank you so much for explaining all of that. Ever since I took autoshop in HS, I wanted to be a gearhead but never really was able to dig in and learn everything I've wanted to learn. Everything I've done has been self taught
and I learned most everything before the internet was a thing. Now I can look up just about everything.
Anyway, it's still cool you explaining all of that. Thank you so much!!

I have the stock suspension…. I saw this photo and thought, hmmm. I need some rock, I wonder if I do this a couple times, would it “enable” an new shock system to be in the Tundra’s future…

New fog lights from Hot Shot Off Road arrived yesterday. Thanks @memario1214! Got them installed but did not have a chance to take the truck out for a drive after dark. Forgot how loose the Toyota light housing/mounts were. Fixed with zip ties but made aiming a bit of a pain.

Put in my order last week for a Demello front bumper, pretty pumped as I’ve been waiting a while to pull the trigger on this, took some time doing my research and always came back to this one. Appx. 6-8 week lead time, hope it goes by fast!

Finally got around to installing the grab handle last night, after picking up 2CU cedar mulch and laying that down out back. Whoever refurbished it held the heat gun a bit too close to the grab handle bolt caps. Oh well. It's a truck. It's meant to take punches and keep rolling.

Put another 200 miles on the valvebody. May be in my head but seems to be tightening up a bit. It’s still stock feeling except for the 1-2 and 2-3 but those are mildly more than stock.

    Few recent projects -

Front shocks rebuilt and revalved. Schmidty Racing did the rebuild/installed the valving changes I supplied using their own upgraded seal kits and synthetic oil.

    IMG_4212.jpg

Ceramic coated Hooker Blackheart shorty headers installed. Hard to get a pic - ceramic coating is silver, can see a bit of them.

    IMG_4241.jpg

    IMG_4245.jpg

Modified the bed bar to front bed panel support by reinforcing the bed and moving the mounts for the supports to the top of front bed panel. Added corner supports connecting bed rails.

So who is your buddy that's getting Herbsts truck built? Also BS that SCORE (presumably) wouldn't greenlight a Toyota Spec TT motor.

Got the rear Eibach pro 2r shocks and Durobumps on today. Hoping to tackle the fronts on Wednesday if the stars align. Quick trip to the grocery store and man they are so good. Tough comparison to the spent black stock shocks but I’m so excited to get the fronts on there.

I like them, sound is very nice.

They are pressure washer quick connect couplings. Carry 4 Scepter water jugs in the bed, RV water pump mounted in the front driver corner of the bed that feeds a coupler and switch to turn the pump on and off at the rear driver side bed. The coil hose and sprayer currently mounted, or water heater for showering plugs in there. The water jugs have a draw tube in them, switch tanks using the quick connects as needed and open/close the tank air valves.

This week I added the TRD Pro hood scoop with some guidance from @BoatBroker - I also added a new Vijay rear bumper from eBay.

The hardware for the bumper was not that great, but the bumper itself looks pretty cool imo.

The hoodscoop is also from eBay. If it wouldn’t have been for BoatBrokers guidance, that install would’ve been a nightmare - the rubber seals provided are garbage and the hardware was incomplete.

Shoutout to all of you who post videos and provide resources to the rest of the Tundra community here.

Morning everyone! Finally got done with my first round of improvements/repairs since getting my 2015 a couple of weeks ago. I put a list of what I did with links below. Only things not listed are the water pump, thermostat and serpentine belt. My toolbox I had from a previous truck.

I did go to a pick a part and get all new seats. The originals were trashed as this was a work truck before I purchased it. Seats came out of a “Grade A”, from what I was told that was a truck with less than 50k miles and was recently purchased. They were in brand new condition.
