used it to pick up a new old machine. Trailer came with the machine. Needs a little love but I don't think too much.2025-01-03-11-21-28-317.jpg

Sorry about the Tundra. But happy to hear the family is safe. Best of luck in your search. I will keep a look out but I'm also in the rust belt and land of road salt in Pa.

Just rcv'd my Wolfbox OEM bracket and sure enough it works like a charm. Was worried that it wasn't going to work on my '18 tundra since their website shows compatibility only for '07-'16..
    Screenshot_20250103_154007_Chrome.jpg
Sure enough though bracket 118 DOES fit my '18 so I'm pretty sure it will fit fine on other years not mentioned on their website. I don't know about 3rd gen Tundra's but if the mounting plate looks anything like what's on my '18(pics to follow), it should fit fine. @Reaper1911, hey buddy:spy: hope you been well, I know you're a 3rd gen but I think I saw a recent post from you about this so here's a few pics for you or anyone that doesn't like using the straps to mount your Wolfbox.

Also since I've recently started a lil patch collection, I picked up a couple patches from them that are pretty cool IMO.

Got a 2nd matching patch if anybody wants to do a patch trade:evil:

I got my '18 from Carmax and it was a really positive experience. Every now and then I'll get on there just to browse and see what's available. There's always several to choose from.

Does that thing have the garage door openers? Auto-dimming? Does it require all that zip tied wire, or can it be adapted to the factory plug?
I keep looking at those and the one that replaces the factory camera housing and looks fully OEM.

It's amazing how people just don't have the extra sec it takes to verify WTF they are doing is safe or not, or that some of them just don't GAF and figure that everyone else is going to get out of their way....

Glad everyone is okay, but definitely sucks hard

    Hey Casey,
With the bracket it would delete the OEM mirror so you'd lose the garage opener abilty. I think it's called homelink, right? I have the OEM mirror connector tucked away into that plastic housing that clips onto the window. As for that bundle of wire, I need to clean it up a bit, that's from the GPS module that I have stuck onto the glass right next to it. I'm going to get that tucked up into the headliner.
As for auto dimming, you'd lose that feature but it does have brightness level on there that you'd have manually change, otherwise the g900 Pro has voice control where you could just simply say "turn off screen" then you'd be using it as a regular mirror except it's not a 100% mirror since it's an LCD screen so it kind of does look like your looking thru a mirror that always dim. Definitely not usable at night so you'd have to display the rear camera at night which IMO is preferable. The quality of video playback is amazing.

Have any of y'all ever done an oil flush? I've done redneck flushes where I change the oil a few times in the span of like a month, but I have never used an additive. I'm pretty convinced this engine is sludged up and I'm considering something like this, but I've never used it or seen it used so I'm a little leary of it.

This got real good reviews from the oil geek on youtube, I am thinking of starting to use it myself even though I am running just fine.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out. I've got the usual VVT noises but they seem to have gotten louder over the last few thousand miles.

I added this stuff two oil changes ago. I was not having any issues but I did notice the engine ran a bit quieter. In the most recent oil change, the oil looked like chocolate milk from this stuff. It's not cheap so I plan to use it every 3-4 oil changes.

High Performance Lubricants also makes an engine flush that is really good, but you can bypass that and just run their oil that does the same, faster. Their engine flush is a less concentrated formal from their oil.

Do you recommend the euro? The premium? Or premium plus? I'm always open to try new products, especially at the recommendation of a member. I've never been steered in a wrong direction before

Unless you are supercharged, do the premium. Their gear oils are very stout too.

You'll have to buy it though https://www.advlubrication.com/. It's the same company, but they have separate site for resale.

Just adding a bit more. I was able to cram n hide that bundle of wire from the GPS module into the plastic housing behind the mirror for a cleaner look. I have it going in then coming back out the same area where the OEM wiring is. IMO, that GPS wire is more then what's needed since the module can just be stuck to the window right behind the mirror. GPS of course you know is optional but it gives so much more information on screen that can all be managed in settings.
    20250109_102024.jpg 20250109_102435.jpg 20250109_102500.jpg

Also, the wiring for the rear camera is probably long enough to reach the back of a shell if one has that, so since I have it mounted inside the cab I have plenty of excess wire ziptied in the headliner back there. I think some manufacturers would require you to buy a separate longer wire.

Installed a dual cylinder compressor under the hood, using a custom mount I designed to sit low enough to hold this beast. Controlled by a button in the cab, and hooked up with a 120A circuit breaker. It’s connected to each fender well via 3/8” lines, utilizing a pressure switch so I don’t blow the lines. There’s an extra fitting in the rear bumper for those folks that didn’t bring a compressor on the trail.
Filled four 35” tires from 17 psi to 35 psi in 4 minutes
And 17 psi to 40 psi in under 5 minutes.

That's nice! So there is a fitting in each wheel well? Can you show a pic of one?

Yep! I’ve had this setup for a while. It’s been fantastic. Upper left is the schrader valve. I took an air hose and chopped it up into four foot sections and added air chucks to connect each corner. IMG_2271.jpg
