To be fair, I didn't get a Bentley or a Benz, I got a truck. It's doing truck duty

Aren’t they made more for dusty conditions vs water? if I had one, I would have to attempt some kinda deep river crossing, just to see…

Yes, in the grand scheme of things. But it's just one of many steps needed for serious water. My main concern would be excessive water levels damaging electronics that aren't necessarily sealed properly, and water entry into the cab. I can't speak for everyone, but I did it mainly for looks. Does it help anything else? Probably not. Does it sound and look cool? Definitely. Like I said, my inner child gets giddy and makes the VROOM VROOM noises thinking about snorkels and seeing it on the truck. I'm still searching for the right one to fit on my T100, since it's the main off road rig. No one makes anything for these damn trucks but I've seen a few guys who have fit the snorkel off of 100 series land cruisers and overseas hilux trucks so its just a matter of time till I find one and drill another hole in my fender :sawzall:

Drove 7 miles with a cup of coffee on my tailgate and still had a cup when I got there. That should tell ya something about how smooth I drive LOL

Check the build link in my signature.
I ran the Napa black ones in my 2008 for close to 200k miles without issues. I went that route because they were in stock locally when I was in the middle of a pad change and discovered one of the factory pistons was seized.

Dude... and here I was like WTF man, I can brake hard and mess my bed up? Crap, is that what (insert memory of some noise) was? Man I gotta look up underneath. Dang.... This sucks.

Then I see your pic. For a min I couldn't figure out what or how you backed into something white. Then it clicked.

I am now back at peace with my truck and truck bed.

Leave it to the Florida crew to use boat hooks in their trucks. Ha.

Ordered one myself by the way. :hattip:

I saw frontier tear itself to pieces under hard braking once, every time I have to do an emergency stop I get a flashback of the wheel flying off that junk.

feels great- im sensitive to the smallest rattles to the point my wife gets tired of me bitching at noises from my truck and I’m not feeling anything negative about it.

Truck drives the same, maybe feels more planted? Could be making that up in my head.

If I squeeze the steering wheel while the truck is idle you can certainly feel it buzz a bit but overall I’m very happy with it!

No, they’re the same. Listing says they updated to clips in 2023. That’s what I like about it—reminds me of my trekking poles.

OK, now I'm really confused. When I clicked on the link, the pole I see has the tension rings. But your picture shows the clips, which is what I'd like. And I didn't see where they mentioned the update to clips

I'm thinking you may actually have something here... find a source to produce a hundred or so for you, add them to your brand, and vend that shit here and on other trucks forums....

Or man, this could be my launch into drop shipping

Luckily I won't gate keep and I will try to tag everyone who asked when I get home tonight but I just saw this and didn't want to leave anyone hanging.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6DWW1YF

It has gone up about $5 but still worth it in my opinion.

Changed passenger side ball joint. Drivers side will not budge from the control arm so I will have to work on it tomorrow since it got dark. Is that gap in the second picture normal during installation? There are 2 sets of holes in the stud. I torqued the nut to 45 ft lbs and installed the cotter pin in the upper hole.

She put some work in on this cold rainy day. Took the golf cart to get the battery box customized. The single Lithium battery was too big to put it where I wanted it, so found a guy who works at a fab shop.

    1000010780.jpg 1000010782.jpg 1000010781.jpg

The frame was cut and notched to make room for the battery then he welded in a piece of square tubing to reconnect the frame and hold the new battery tray.
