    Alot of them
Just DO NOT use Safelite. They use cheap glass and their workmanship is crap too. When you do get ready to replace it, call a reputable local glass company and tell them that you want OEM equivalent. Mine was replaced last year with PGW. PGW and Vitra are merged now, and they are one of the manufacturers for OEM and OEM equivalent glass for Toyota.

I've used Safelite, requested OEM glass and gotten it, no problem. I've had good experience with the installers too. They are just independent glass installers and bounce from shop to shop depending pay. Nice guys and do quality work, talk up their training and their desire to do quality work.

My Jeep has OEM glass, even has the little Jeep in the corner of the windshield off roading, which is OEM.

Not that I'm a Safelite apologist, just have not had a bad experience yet.

I did have a bad experience with a local install shop on my older Land Cruiser. They used a blade and ended up hitting my interior a-pillars with it, slicing them up and then delivered it back to me like nothing was wrong.

They used to be great but I've heard they have gone downhill and fast. I needed a rear window on another vehicle (not my truck) and every shop I talked with said they cut ties with Safelite cause it got so bad.

Could also be location based. When I used them long ago (like 8 years ago) it was a great experience but I didn't even call them for this rear window.

Took em 3 tries to get a slider on a 2013 Tacoma installed correctly. 1st time it wasn't sealed, took it back to get it sealed then got it back, tried to open it and the latch came off the glass, took it back to get the latch fixed and got it back with more leaks than a colander. Safelite can kiss the fattest part of my skinny ass.

I've had good luck with my local Safelite. They've done my trucks multiple times (damn Colorado, winter sand and oil field traffic). I've always requested OEM glass, and the only complaint I've ever had was getting window sealant on my ditch light brackets lol

I’ve got 1 experience with Safelite done on our 2010 rav4. They came out and replace it but i can tell it wasnt the same. Noticed more wind noise. Sloppy sealant on the interior pillar. Gobs of it in some place. I had to use a razor to trim it. So it’s a no go for me on safelite.

That crack wouldn't even register on my giveashit meter. Living where rock chips are a constant, as are the eventual cracks, if a crack is not in my field of view, I will live with it. I will try to fill-in chips if and when possible.

I’ve used those filled in kit before but that’s when i actually noticed the chip. Those kit works real good but that’s was done during summer season when the sun is the hottest.
I will wait til Spring or after to get it replace, eventually i want to get 70% ceramic tint on the windshield to block/reduce summer heat.

Replaced TPMS sensor. It was easy in fact. A bit more labor intensive than mountain bike's inner tube replacement, but not too bad.

Name of orange spreader tool please.

I have to replace mine & was gonna drop off at the shop this week. I’ll def do it myself if that tool makes it possible.

I assume you don’t need to rebalance since the tire isn’t moving position on the wheel?

"Manual tire bead breaker" on Amazon pretty much. If it does not have a plastic piece on the claw that faces the front part of the wheel - just put a piece of your own plastic.

    No need to rebalance.

Is Pilkington same as PGW and Vitra? I guess i am asking if Pilkington will be good enough for oe equivalent.

Pilkinton was OE for Volvo. Used to be better than PGW. When I got Pilkinton replacement it was softer than the factory one and wore down faster (lot of highway travel back then). Anyhow, it still was a good one, without imperfections like you commonly find in Chinese glass.

Thanks for the info. I called a reputable glass replacement place and that’s what they told me they use for toyota. So now I’m researching it.

Same happened to mine last spring. Tiny rock chip in summer became short crack in late fall became long crack in winter. It's along bottom out of view on mine so not replacing yet until it bothers my view.

i hate to say im that guy, but i am. i cracked my own window installing new windsheild wipers. the wiperless arm slipped from grip and hit the windshield. it is a beautiful star pattern crack.
i was told by my insurance agent that several years ago safelite was bailed out by the insurance industry, so the insurance industry had a single nationwide source to use for claims. and that they use a weaker/thinner glass than most local shops
i dont know if true or not

Airbox with K&N Filter, 2" lift on 33's, Alpine iLX-F309 head unit, Pull out bed tool boxes, brown with black trim, rims, etc, black leather interior, matching topper. Muffler delete (too loud..) 62k miles!!!
Redid all the wiring, harnesses, etc for the Alpine ILX 309 that came with the truck. I've seen butcher jobs over the years, this one took the cake. Bare wire twisted together with loose electrical tape over it. 3 wires crimped together with what looked like a piece of a crimp and not a full section also loose electrical tape. Cloth tape wound loosely on every harness and a broken tab on the main speaker harness. about 2 hours worth of work. Separated harnesses for factory wiring, Maestro, etc. Zip-tied and taped up harnesses individually. Properly crimped with heat-shrink crimps all bare wires. Re-routed almost everything so I can make out what it is. I live off-grid and the road is about 10.4 miles of rough dirt, gravel, rock, holes, ditches, dips, ducks, dodge and dodge. I grew tired of speakers going in and out, the final straw was losing all channels except the sub.

Almost at the same time, the muffler fell off (broke away at the dual inlet end). 3" MBRP that I couldn't stand the sound of. Re-welded it back together temporarily then found a set of Dynomax Super Turbo's. I got an X-Pipe, welded everything up and installed. Right now it dumps by the axle, I plan to run it all the way out for true duals. Going from a 2.5" into 3" single MBRP to true dual 2.5" all the way out.

King 3.0's arrived!!!! front and rears (didn't open rear box) and JBA upper control arms powder coated to try and match the lighter king blue. It's off a smidge but doesn't bother me enough to get them redone (nor do I want to wait any longer lol). Just trying to be different from the generic red or black everyone runs. (replacing SPC uca that the bushings squeak like no tomorrow and fox 2.5 race series dsc front and back)

Deaver U748's are in as well as extended brake lines, new bumstops, coach builder +1 shackle. Black rhino rapids are done powder coating in gloss black. I have solid off-road motor mounts that I bought a year ago waiting to go on as well. Just waiting on my Toyo Open Country R/t trails to come in (37x12.5x17) and toying with the idea of DRT cab mount relocation to just remove my butcher cutting I did to fit 295/70/18s. Christmas came early!

Installed a C4 Fabrication Overland Rear Bumper on Rotundra to match the front bumper. I had previously ordered it from C4 during the 4th of July sale, and it took eight weeks for manufacture and delivery to Tampa Bay Powder Coating. Between two local hurricanes hitting us and everything else in life I just finished getting the bumper installed recently. I ordered a Diode Dynamics Stage Series C2 Pro Reverse Light Kit from @memario1214 at Hotshot Offroad who gave me a great deal as always. The Diode Dynamics SS C2 Reverse Lights are backlit red when running that add additional red lights to the bumper as well as the very bright reverse lights supplied by the LED pods. I did have to trim the openings for the reverse lights slightly on one side with a Dremel as they were a bit wider than the opening. I also drilled the bumper and installed a threaded brass Milton quick connect air valve for use with my ARB onboard air system. I connected the reverse lights to my SwitchPod system so that I can control the reverse lights manually at any time as well as their automatic operation. Once I had installed the bumper I hated the look between the the tailgate and top of the bumper. It looked unfinished to me so I ordered a 1/8" x 2" aluminum strip, drilled and painted it, added industrial Velcro to the center to preclude rattling and used stainless steel allen head bolts to secure it to the threaded holes already in the sheet metal below the tailgate.
