I'm not sure if you would call the door handles overlays, but more of like a 2-piece part that can be disassembled. (Photo credit to @Burninator from his thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/how...-of-the-door-handles-and-improve-feel.135094/)

How do you have it mounted? Have you tried the 2 finger dimming yet?

Point taken on the possibility he wouldn't like his name repeated; but I'm sure no supervisor is going to ding him for being friendly to a fellow Texan. I don't think the THP is bent that way. They give tickets often, but they're not boogey men. I'll change mine; y'all change yours...

I drank the Kool aid. Lol. Just a bit of preventative maintenance I guess :notsure: Read somewhere it's good practice to change it every 30 or 40k I took mine off and it looked pretty clean. I did see some videos where that thing is gunked up and definitely needed to be replaced.

I ordered an extra RAM base plate to install on my Rago so that should be arriving later tonight but then I remembered that my first phone mount I bought for this truck was an OhSnap! mount which it adheres to the dash and has a really strong magnet for the phone. I stuck both metal plates that came with the SGIII to the SG and being as light as it is, it holds to the magnet mount really well and allows for slight easy adjustment of needed. Ran the cable through a blank switch panel but I need to clean that up. I hacked it up pretty bad and my OCD is telling me to fix it.:annoyed:

Yeah, the ease of dimming with 2 fingers is great!

Now I'm just trying to figure out what I want on my 3 screens. This thing truly is amazing. I read through your thread about it from when it first released. Lots of great info there. I may have some questions about what each gauge is exactly that I'll post over there

For those old enough to remember, what was the origin of "drinking the Kool-aid"?

I believe it refers to Jim Jones and his cult. He had his disciples drink " Kool-Aid " that was laced with poison.

Well this weekend I dropped the gas tank down, not once but twice. I install a DW fuel pump and DW 650 injectors and without me noticing, the fuel bucket spun on me and the float was hitting the side of the tank. Wasn't till the second time that I finally noticed it.

And I thank you for posting.

I have a SC install in my future and these small details are very nice to know about.

I know on your end it was a pain in the dick, but if you can help another because of this, you should consider it a win.

Yes it was because. But it actually isn't that bad if the tank is as empty as you can get it, just harder by yourself. That was the only thing I didn't check. I check voltage, continuity, ohm the float, etc. But it did dawn on me that the bucket spun.

Been banging my head against a wall. No brake light signal at the plug in bumper.
    Checked all fuses
    Swapped out the relay
    I have turn signals
    I have running lights
    I have + power
2016 crewmax with factory tow. Had to leave the boat I just purchased at the dealer to try to figure this out. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Does everything else at the plug work? Have you looked at the back side of the bumper to ensure the harness is plugged in correctly and there is no damage to it.

Resolved, it turned out to be the Morimoto flasher relay, swapped in the factory one and all is good. Thanks for your reply.

For her 90K birthday along with an engine oil and filter change, she got new front and rear diff oil, transfer case oil, new wheels and tires and a Borla cat back exhaust. Then put her to work.

    2024-10-06 08-56-14.jpg 2024-10-06 08-56-25.jpg 2024-10-22 09-58-13.jpg

Going from a 20" OEM wheel with E rates tires, to 18's with standard load and more sidewall made a huge difference, rides so much better now (and less weight). Slightly more movement when towing but nothing concerning.

How's the exhaust now when towing? A great birfday present!! Does that mean a supercharger at 100k? :anonymous:

Exhaust is great, exactly what I wanted, I notice it's there but not intrusive unless WOT and high in the rev range, even then it's not obnoxious. Really I just wanted dual exhausts and something a bit different.

Ha! No supercharger in my future.
