Thanks! Found a video online, looks simple. Paid 145.45 from Toyota Wholesale Direct. Came out to 170.36 with tax and shipping.

Just picked up my Tundra 2 months ago since I’m using my camp trailer a lot more now that I’ve got two babies to take to the woods. The first gen sequoia just wasn’t quite up to the task. Did fresh fluids all around to start now some fun with sticky stuff. The bedside trd emblems didn’t match so I got some new ones and some black on chrome tailgate inserts. Have 2018+ led headlights on order with a harness from ihacker and some r1 concepts rotors and pads to install next. Loving the extra power over my previous sequoias 4.7.

LOL thanks brother! Time to adjust the bed layout a bit. And yes I still have my dual ARB compressor under the seat but wanted some redundancy.

    Hi all, quick question.

Does the 5.7 and 4.6 use the same exact stock airbox? Are they cross compatible

    Thanks

So instead of buying a new lawnmower belt your making your yard one giant concrete slab?

    Close. So very close....

the tune up kit was on the passenger seat when I went to ACE to get the other project materials. We dont live "close" to town so I usually bulk up on the buys when I make it into town.

How many 37" tires can you fill with the 10 pounder? and another question, What tire pressure do you run on the trail's vs the road?

I used to run lower pressure but found the truck and suspension do best at 23-25 in the dirt for me. I run 30-33psi on the street. If you’re adding 15psi says about 18 fills with the 10lber so I anticipate a little more. I still have my dual arb compressor setup under the seat if needed

Purchased a new hood bulge as the original had seen its better days with numerous repair attempts with different clips and reinforcing with JB weld, fiberglass etc. As I was looking at the design it occurred to me that I have the most issues while driving at highway speeds and a semi or large vehicle pulling a trailer etc. pass and the abrupt added force of wind hits causing a disturbance and the clips release on the top edge (hood side).

Based on the aero dynamics the cosmetic grille produces a parachute effect, and that sudden burst/ high velocity of air has nowhere to go, plus the design forces it up in a lifting type of force. with the previous oem sub robust clips (most people replace with the new OEM clips or the ones from Amazon) the Bulge would release and or break at the mounts.

So, to lessen the pressure I drilled holes in the backside of the new OEM hood bulge/cosmetic grille allowing the air to release. I also replaced the OEM clips with the ones from amazon that others on this forum recommend. I have an 1800-mile round trip coming up to test my theory/R&D.

I also installed a Rough Country Pre Runner Skid Plate to better protect the front underside (Oil filter, power steering lines etc.) from on road and offroad debris

purchased the Maintenace Chart for my shop to better track requirements (Tundra - 2nd Gen Trackers | Team Oil Drop (fourthwall.com)

Yes. The part number is the same and they both fit the 5.7 and 4.6.
