I had a 2012 for almost 10 years and traded it in on a fancy Acura MDX Type S Advance. Super nice and fun car, but I shouldn't have gotten rid of the Tundra. Two years and change later, and I am back in a Tundra, and have spent $5,300 already on mods/improvements and haven't even gotten to the sound system, light bar(s) and lots of other things I want to do to it.

I haven't looked at the Dirty 7's thread. All I have to do is lurk in RainMan-PNW's build thread and I can hear my bank account whimper.

    Welcome!

So the RetraxXR is on there.... but I added some stuff (over 2days) Yakima Overhaul Racks (big fan, make sure you use the large T-Slot bits). Then I added a RTT via Amazon, NatureNest. Just went to the dump to haul the freight container it came in. Figured to share the weight of the whole thing. 3/4 tank of fuel "Machete" is 6540 pounds with my 205lb butt in there. So 6340 give or take. Pics for deets.
For those that can be a bit patient I got the yak-raks on ebay for around 800 BNIB, those are 78"wide cross. bars, and the Tonneau kit. Links for all (minus the retrax) just in case you wanted to see more details. Happy Tundra-ing.

Out with the old, in with the new. The Costco battery has been leaking. Enough where it ate away at my battery hold down. Had to sand the damage and hit it with some satin black spray paint.

The water filled one I just pulled out is 2 years and 3 months old. However, I bought it just before moving to Texas so it has been through two and half hot summers. When I bought the battery last night the tire center guy recommended I bring the old one back for a refund since it is still under the 3 year warranty. Costco changed to a prorated warranty for their batteries now. So we’ll see how this sealed into holds up.

Not saying that you did, buy if you regularly go through the automatic car washes, the dryers will blow that trim piece off. I've lost both sides and have had to replace them.

I was actually looking at some webbing type material like this for when I remove the rear seats to keep the esp cubby items in place. Found someone who makes all custom type webbing and netting in various shapes for the overland crowd.

How was the drive? I will likely be headed through there from California in early September.
