Man those have been a long time since production. Mine are still good to go. I think I used filling primer and sanded 10 times to get them almost perfect. They are still so much better than chrome.

The only issue I had with mine is the top lens was getting very dirty inside this was after almost two years. I contacted when under warranty they are sending me two brand new ones to swap out. Morimoto is a very good company.

Wheeled this morning on my test loop. Opened up the first bypass tube few turns feels awesome. Same 30 mile loop in 48min vs last weekends 55min.

Tossed the new perry parts bumps up front (should’ve did it before my run) so we’ll see how they feel vs the duro bump. Itll be interesting to compare all this to the planned suspension revision.

Oh man, so jealous. I saw that on Netflix and need to get me some Texas BBQ. Maybe if I can convince the wife to go to the USGP some time, we can go to Snow's.

Took the family out for cruise night. Years ago as a teenager I used to cruise Main street, till street racing and crime made the city make it illegal. Now, once a year a local hotrod club convinced the city council to allow it one night a summer. It was a late night then an early 3:00AM wake up for work but damn was it fun with the kids, blasting music and listening to fuel get turned into noise and tire smoke. This is the only picture of my truck I got all night, aside from a dozen other cars and trucks and some videos.

I mean, it adds a "fold" button that you otherwise don't have on the mirror switch. Folks who have bought the Boost tow mirrors and added power folding, have bought this switch so they can keep it looking stock and not have to use up a blank with a separate fold button. Multiple threads on this and how to wire it too.

So it is not an “auto” fold, just fold like the stock switch on the Platinum’s have. That is what I want is an automatic switch that I can set. When on it will fold/unfold on start/off unless I do not want that to fold then I can hit a switch to turn it off.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    that’s my guess

my 1794 has that exact switch and it NEEDS auto close bad.

you would think someone out there has made a bolt on that does that.

Check out Casey's build, I am not good with electrical but I think he provides instructions to do auto folding like you just described

Yeah, it’s the OEM mirror adjust that includes the fold switch. Drop it in, and run wires from the mirrors to the connector behind the dash.
    IMG_5014.jpg
I went this route because I don’t have any blanks left by the mirror adjust.

I am interested in upgrading it to auto fold, too. Now that I successfully tapped into the truck’s connectors on either end for a tidier OEM look, I have a bit more confidence with wiring projects. Back to consult Casey’s thread!

If you're getting condensation inside that will be covered. The only thing I have seen MM really put up a fight with when it comes to warranty is a little bit of fogging or delaminating of the exterior lens. That said, most of them even go through. If you're getting any sort of particulate intrusion though, and you picked them up from a reputable source, they'll take care of you.
    :fistbump::fistbump::cheers:

Apologies on the delayed reply! We had a wicked storm rip through here and we were without power from Wed-last night.

Don't do the cable. Pull your rear wheels, and there is a rubber plug on the wheel mounting surface of the rotor. Pull that, and there is a standard drum star adjuster at the 6:00 position. It doesn't have a lock, so it can be turned either way. Play with it, and bring it in to the point that the shoes are just barely making contact with the hat of the brake rotor, then back the adjuster off a hair.

Backpulled the wiring for the electronic lock on the Century fiberglass tonneau cover I removed last weekend. Found that they had run the wires through the driver's side frame rail, and punched a hole in the driver's side footwell body grommet. Wish I hadn't thrown away the one I had to remove from the passenger side when I installed the OEM tailgate lock.

Anyone happen to have a spare, or know the part number?

Also, installed my RCI Transmission/Transfer case skid with cat shields. What a hassle to do by yourself in the driveway. Especially trying to tighten bolts.

Thought I would install my FRAC camera and harness, and need to watch the video again, and the instructions. I have the YotaLEDs anodized bracket and RainMan-PNW's shim kit. I found a Kenwood backup camera (230 I think) that I bought my kid for his RAV4 when he started driving. He never installed it, and I thought I would run it to have a 3rd camera at the license-plate level, only to discover the wire is only about 6ft long, nowhere near long enough for a CrewMax.
