I'm pushing to do that by this time next year. Would be 3 years early if I can achieve it. Congrats on doing it.

Tested my new ditch lights as well!

Diode Dynamics SS3 Max LED Pods with the driving lens option. I highly recommend this brand!

S&B intake, Dirty Deeds 8", Airlift airbags with Daystar contact cups, LED's everywhere including Diode Dynamics stealth front LED bar, Baja Design Squadron II's on CBI ditch light brackets, completed Diode Dynamics interior LED's. Full RCI skids with cat guards and sliders, Transfer flow 46 gallon tank. Radflo 2.5 IFP coilovers, Coachbuilder shackles, TRD rear sway bar. 295/70R18 Nitto RG's. Dobinson snorkel, softopper.
I need to upgrade. I’ve had BD Squadron 2’s for about 4-5 years now. I wasn’t thrilled with their output when I put them on and I’ve only grown more disappointed, but other projects always seem to take precedence.

I agree about the BDs, after weeks of researching. I found that Diode Dynamics had the best output numbers and the best pricing. I definitely recommend them!

Hey, what is the weight difference between the stock bed and this? How much legal payload do you have left?

So thats one thing the guy who built it for me didnt do. He didn't weigh it. He did weigh one he built on a Tacoma and it was 200lbs heavier. So a rough guess I would say no more then 100lbs heavier. Im going to lose maybe 300lb off the payload. Personally I do not look into that as where I live, they dont look into that at all. I updated the rear leaf springs so you wont notice and sag or anything.

Drove to Toyota to replace coolant today. Aprox. 125,000 miles on it. I don't know if it was an original coolant. Little discolored to orange from pink. About $200 spent.

Here is my first major modification to the truck since buying it earlier this month: new shoes!

Old Look - steelies with balding rubber

This may* be the perfect Tundra.

    Kudos.

Have a bunch of stuff arriving or has arrived. Revesol-USA carbon fiber/black leather/red stripe steering wheel, rear-window switch relocation harness, RainMan-PNW's 3-switch part for the center console, YotaLEDs camera mount for the front (to go along with RainMan-PNW's shim), Desert Does It seat jacker(s) and MMD's (I got half the order last week, the other half tomorrow for some reason). The seals/cleaner for my Lomax Stance bed cover are coming today because FedEx Ground in Troutdale blows goats, and split the shipment. The cover should arrive tomorrow. Also received the center console lid leather cover, and picked up a pneumatic upholstery stapler. The Rostra seat heaters will be here tomorrow as well or today, who knows with USPS.

My driver's side A pillar trim and grab handle arrived from Hoover Toyota in AL yesterday. It is installed (took about 10 minutes, tops). Made a template with a post-it note, cut it out, stuck to the new piece, and used the 12V Ridgid multi-tool to cut the new part to match the original.

Are you keeping your steelies? I was thinking about getting a set, have them powder-coated black or bronze, put some M/T or studded tires on them for the winter, I just don't know where in the world I would keep them. I have the 20" Fuel wheels and 33x12.5 tires the truck came with sitting outside next to the heat pump. Hoping my lawn guy wants them. I sold my 2012's OEM alloys to our neighbor's lawn guy 4 years ago.

I'm debating, but I think I'm going to powder coat and put winter tires on them. I just have to get rid of some junk in the garage to make storing them work...

Where did you get the alloy’s? I have a Nightshade and want to change the black wheels for the same ones you have…I’m Gen X and old school like that. Can’t stand the black wheel fad look.

It was a Facebook marketplace find. A guy with a 2021 Tundra bought some black alloys and decided to part with the pair I bought for a reasonable price (though not exactly an excellent deal).

how close to rubbing are you? Those are basically 34/12/17s and I was looking at 35/12/20s with the same suspension setup

Its rubbing quite a bit right now. I removed the flaps in the front and that helped some. I'll have to spend some time with a heat gun to push the plastic in. Hopefully that does the trick!

Waiting on something I bought on ETSY for my Tundra. When I get it and install will post pictures.
    UPDATE: The package has arrived.
I am getting a friend to come by this Friday to help me remove the tailgate so I can drill 2 holes in the plastic where the wires will run.
Will take pictures of finished product and post them.

When I did the lift/level on my 2012 Tundra (6112's in front, 5160's in the back, with Coachbuilder Shackles and carrier bearing drop) the flaps had to go in the front, and I got some plates from SoCal Super Trucks to weld over the corner of the front bodymounts to deal with the rubbing after they were cut back.
This is the bookmark I had saved from when I did that in 2018. Fixing Tire Rub from Large Off-Road Tires: Off-Road.com as I had Method 20" Grid wheels with 33" Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Then I replaced the Nittos with Cooper 31" 10-ply tires.
