Why would a BMC fail an inspection?? would a replacement pass? if so, get the replacement, and then just go 37s :D

You don’t need a BMC for 295s with a decent alignment and the correct wheel offset. I ran those for a while and only had to modify the mud flaps and front bumper plastics.

That’s what I was told. Didn’t know much about it at the time. Figure once these tires are shot I’ll see what I can do. Haha 37 look sweet but I have no need or want to pay for the fuel loss.

I’ve seen some guys run it fine. Some have rubbing. Didn’t want to risk it. Figure once these tires are shot I’ll try it.

interesting. I can see failing if the body mount is damaged, but if its been chopped properly, there's no compromise to structural integrity, and I can't imagine it would violate any statute or anything. But I can also see some tech failing it just because they don't know the difference. But if the chop is done properly, it shouldn't look damaged. eh, who knows. sorry I'm just typing my thoughts lol.

I hear ya. I thought if plates were welded in, it should be fine. I also live in NY and they do very dumb things here regulation wise. Ever since that insane limo crash here, they have upped the inspection process. Especially with custom modifications. I’ll have to keep researching or find a place that has inspected with it before. I had to make a choice in the moment when getting the lift installed. Not worth the risk at the time. Got a few years until these. Tires are done.

I’ve been running 295/70/18 from day one. Dealer put them on when I bought it new. 95,000 and I’ve never had any rubbing.

The radio connectors for the 20 and 21 are different. You can install it in a 2016 but you will need a conversion harness from autoharnesshouse.com but they are expensive.

The wheel spacers seem to be the cause of most folks having issues when trying to get dialed in on 295s.

I agree. But a lot of guys with +25 offset rims are fine. My stock rims with the spacer are around +28/29. My 285/70/18 are pretty close to the cab mount. Had to remove the mud-flaps. Rubbed pretty bad on them. Not sure if I need a better alignment. Looks to be alright. Could just be my truck.
