I'll do you one better. I did not pull them off, did not wipe them with a rag and did not blast them with red paint. Because, they're just tow hooks.

Don't really care about the whole color match, black out, chrome remove, tow hook color thing. But that's the beauty of it all. TEHO

The way I read it is, you do proper paint prep and everyone else was lazy and didn’t lol I’m apart of the lazy crowd. Kudos to you tho, painting sucks haha

Swapped out the last housing I got from Evil. Turns out they sent me one for a friggin Tacoma so yeah wanted a fuller sized version - they sent me one for a Raptor. Definitely wider than the Tacoma version. If anyone has a Taco, I'll sell you this almost new one. Also selling the original one I bought that has 2 cutouts (instead of the 3 for a camera) - fits 2nd & 2.5 gen Tundras. No Baja lights, just the housing that also includes the cargo and brake lights.

Yes, one is for recording rear traffic and the other is another parking cam.

Installed Falken Wildpeak AT4W's in 35x11.50r18. These replaced a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT's in 295/70/18. The Falkens are roughly 3/4" taller and about the same width as the 295's. I was very curious to see how these Falkens would feel given that they are a load range C tire and 6 ply compared to the E load Coopers. These do not have the 3 ply Duraspec sidewall according to the spec sheet on Falkens website.

First impressions are that these tires feel fantastic. They weigh the same as the Coopers that they replaced at about 63 lbs. The steering and overall feeling while driving is that it feels tighter. Steering feels heavier, but in a more solid precise way. I've only put on about 30 miles so far, but overall bumps and whatnot in the roads feel more confident and not jarring like the Coopers. The tires are stiffer than a standard load tire and you do feel the LT part of them, but in a good way. Overall I'm very pleased with them so far. They are barely audible which is welcoming since the Coopers were worn and getting pretty loud. The Falkens fit without any rubbing at all in any direction. For anyone curious I'm running TRD Pro bilstein coilovers with Westcott collar and 2 coachbuilder shims per side for about 3.5" lift in the front. Camburg upper control arms and a cab mount chop. Front mud flaps were previously removed. Rear is just the TRD Pro shocks and coachbuilder +3 shackles. I removed the fender flares and wish I never installed them. I did use ppf underneath them which worked great, but the locknuts on the backside of the flares did rub the paint and I wasn't able to get the marks out. I'll try again with some compound and see if that helps any.

Not sure what brand they were. I picked them up from another member in March of 2022. He had them painted and didn't like the look after they were installed so he removed them. Here is what they looked like after I installed them. I mainly wanted them after adding larger tires for some additional coverage, but prefer the look without the flares.

Lift Kit HoodScoop Anytime Front & Backup Camera Interior & Exterior led Lights Wheel Spacers
Update. 90% Completed. Still need to do the following this week.
    • Perform Zero Point Calibration (ABS light On, Trailer brake error, and Pre-collision system malfunction errors due to Zero point Calibration of Deceleration Sensor Undone) (Called to a local PepBoys and they make this calibration for $29.xx)
    • Install Carrier Bearing Drop Kit (Minor vibration at 1k to 1.2k RPM but this kit should fix it)
    • Install front skid plate (Kept uninstalled for easy access and monitoring purposes at least the next few weeks)
    • Sway bar link bolt issue on driver side: The bolt that holds the sway bar link to the lower control arm it is not tie at all. Looks like the thread-locker sealed it at an extreme level and the bolt doesn't go to any direction now. Planning to remove the shock to access the nut located inside the lower control arm and apply heat to see if that helps to tie the bolt completely. No issue in the passenger side.
I want to complete these items this week so that I can proceed with the Turbo kit install that was delivered this week to my door!!!

I had the same experience with RCI. They did the install, and forgot two bolts. Called to say I need two new bolts and they shipped it to the wrong address. Used the address on file, which was their warehouse, since it was an install order. Had to wait another 2 days.

I asked at Discout Tire and the store manager said he'd recommend 37-38psi for that tire on the Tundra. He told the installer to set them at 37psi. They feel great where they are. I'm going to check them in a bit to confirm that's where they actually set them at. What psi have you been running in them?

Installed the tow hooks! I noticed the coating is still very soft and already started to chip and ripple. Perhaps I needed to wait longer than 48 hours before installing.:(

That is exactly why I got the one I did. I like the Kuat he is showing a lot though! I also added a water port to rinse off before getting back in the truck.

Unfortunately I took it off because my primary beach blocked off auto traffic.

Happy Mother's day out there! Took the wife and MIL out to a spot to go take pictures of birds. Since birds are not real, I walked my dog and sat in the AC lol. But they had a great time so it was a huge win.
