I’m located in central Oregon (Bend area). Oh boy, you’re in luck, I only charge $1000 per tow hook! ;)

Jokes aside, the hardest part was prepping the garage floor and covering the ladder before spray painting. That alone took me 3+ hours. Even then, the garage floor still ended up slightly red due to overspray.

Looking forward to hearing how they do. I’ve got 77k on my AT3’s and think I’ll run them through the summer (based on the tread left on them) and then replace just before this next winter

    Wow
    That’s a lot of prep
They’ll get sandblasted with the rain and snow sand on the roads out here…I just cleaned mine up and hit them with a couple coats of rattle can red and called it good! They’ll need repainted in a year or two anyway.

Red is definitely the best color for tow hooks, this is known. Here's how I did mine. Pulled them off, wiped them off with a rag, and then blasted them with red paint because they're just tow hooks.

No pics but finally got my NSV light bar wired up. I am in love with the night rider effect. Sure, I could have went with the Baja designs light bar instead for more lighting but I already have several other bright lights elsewhere and this novelty of a light puts a smile on my face.

Interesting video, but I wish he’d go into more depth and discuss physics/forces on the cage. I don’t run a drop, but I have a hard time believing that the cage isn’t slightly more compromised at extreme angles compared to the cv being flat. But what do I know :notsure::rofl:

Truck looks badass! What wheels are you running with this setup? Do you happen to know offset? Been trying to figure out my minimum lift for some 35x12.5x20 stock platinum wheels

Yea, im mainly trying to get 35x12.5 on stock wheels because i refuse to pay the astronomical price for the TRD wheels from toyota and dont really want after market wheels. Im ok with a small spacer if i get the clearance. I have a 2" front spacer, saving up some money for a 2.5" front 1" rear setup. I figure if i can fit 35x12.5x20 on it with the 2" front, ill do tires and spacers while i wait for the money to do my suspension how i want.

Sooo. Jan 22 I rolled thru a tornado. Flying debris took paint off down to primer in spots.

got the paint fixed middle of last year.

last night in San Marcos, night before sons graduation, hail storm

we were in a restaurant when it happened. The meatloaf was fantastic.

I only got dents on the hood, others were not so lucky

I do not know the offset but they are most likely the same as other Toyota stock wheels. They were new with the truck and were an upgrade option at the time.

So to answer your question, my upgrade baseline is the 4/2" Readylift. Honestly, I had less clearance issues with no Spidertrax spacers; the shop only had to remove the mud flaps for the very slightest of rubbing. After the Spidertrax spacers, the washers behind the front bumper were required to move the front bumper forward. If I didn't do this, the tire would slightly tap an inner-well screw when making turns.

I no longer get any rubbing on the front inner-well screw but while moving in reverse and turning my steering wheel fully counter-clockwise, I do get a slight rub against a piece of body metal. This will easily be solved when I get someone to shim the slight body metal protrusion down by about 3 mm.

Overall, I wanted to keep these stock wheels. I like many aftermarket ones but didn't want a dated or overused wheel look several years from now.

What would you suggest, color-code the mirrors? If so, body color or black?

Seems like if I did the body color, I would need to do the door handles as well (either black or body color).

2" lift... I'm not sure. My 4" kit came with new upper control arms so I don't know if your 2" lift has stock UCA's or not. Those may rub against a 35" tire.

Are you trying to say I’m an overachiever and perfectionist!?
My main goal for the overkill prep is that since I “ruined” the factory coating that they’ll still be able to withstand the salt and snow here in Oregon.
