From that angle it looks like you're just doing one at a time; pull it off, turn it 180 degrees, put it back on!!!

At the price of standard steps these days, such as the RB20s, I'd just go w/sliders (especially if you can grab them on a sale w/reasonable shipping)...

Plus, you get the added protection from parking lot cart crashes, door dings, etc; you get protection of your rocker panels and such in the event you end up on a fire service road or such that has an unexpected or buried object (large rock, tree stump, etc.), and we have a number of folks on here that have shown post accident photos where their sliders have taken the brunt of their collision impacts (transferring energy to the frame) and saved having the cab crumpled up... seems like a no braining to me

Changed my oil and replaced the VS cat shield and mid plate with an RCI transmission cover skid plate and cat shields (that I bought a year and a half ago). VS cat guard was very stout and did its thing but I am going to eventually add sliders and the VS took away a lot of options for sliders with the way they install.

Also worth noting, I emptied and cleaned out the J&L oil catch can thing and boy was there some milky sludge in there. I haven’t changed my oil in almost 2 years (<5k miles) and was surprised seeing the oil that drained out from the bottom wasn’t too dirty. I’m thinking the j&l catch can did its thing or helped keep most of the engine oil cleaner.

Anyways, I plan on adjusting the rci skids tomorrow morning and will get some pictures afterwards. Makes me want to get more rci parts as I am quite impressed with the product.

Are you referring to something like the Rago mount? I 100% recommend it! You can have it shipped next day from Amazon. The install for that is super easy to DIY. That mount doesn't require entire disassembly like I did just to paint these trim pieces. Really only need to remove 3 center pieces. You can do it! :fistbump:

Finished the chrome delete today. Replaced the raptor running boards with all black Westins. New grille/surround/hood bulge/bumper covers. No factory Radiant Red so I ordered everything black and had them painted at a local shop. They did a pretty good job getting the color right. Right up on it with heavy lighting you can definitely tell though. I totally forgot to order mirror covers to have them painted as well and I'm also waiting for black TRD bed decals, but there's always another day. I'm definitely happy with how it turned out though.

Well, there went the remainder of our tax refund...20240413_161933.jpg

Dirty 20 x 9, +20 Fuel Blitz. Craig's List. Five of 'em. The fifth, without a tire, is in the rear cab. Just a few minor scratches; no curb rash. While these tires don't have much tread left, they are exactly what I was thinking on getting anyway. Well, almost. These are Toyo Open Country A/T III, P285/55 R20. I've been thinking same tire but P285/60 R20.

Re-aligned the rci transmission skid plate and cat guards that were installed last night. Also re-aligned my side steps because they’ve been crooked from the start.

Well, I finally installed the auto windows master switch with led lights, easy peasy. And I am not a DIY kind of guy.

I should've gone the white LED instead blue buy it will work, nobody is going to compare the interior lights :)

I'm new to short bed trucks. The 5.5 foot bed is fine for most things, but there are times where I really have to carry 12 foot lumber. The simple, affordable answer is a basic tailgate extender coming out of the hitch receiver.
But I never know when I'll need it. And I don't want it clattering around in the bed.
So I bought 4 of those 1/4" push button lock pins, and fabbed up a couple of holders, one for each side of the bed. Then I welded a couple ears to each of the 3 pieces of the extender. So you hold the extender piece in place over the bracket and insert the two locking pins. The passenger side bracket holds two pieces, one upper and one lower. And the driver's side holds the crossbar with its two vertical endpieces pinned into it.
To mount the brackets to the bed I installed blind rivet nuts using a Vevor blind nut tool, and screwed in stainless hex-head cap screws.
Now the extender pieces are always with me, neatly stowed away, and they don't take up enough space to prevent any normal box/bed usage.

Looks good! What's the easiest way to wash the wheels prior to applying? What product did you use? I have my duracoat kit sitting in my garage. Im ready to tackle that soon.
