Can you post some pictures from the back, both sides? I want to see how much they stick out. :) Also, what tires did you get?

Give me till tomorrow for photos, the sun is already getting low where I am. Tires are General Grabber ATx 275/70 r18. I'd say they stick out maybe .75 of an inch or less. The factory side steps stick out farther just for an idea.

Battling a steering wheel shake after putting on used 285/70R17 K02’s and Icon wheels. I figured they just needed a rebalance and Discount Tire took care of that for me, but the shake is still there with no significant change. It was dead nuts smooth with the stock wheels and Cooper AT3’s. I wonder if I need some more toe in or if the tires are just bad.

Wheel out of round? I had a shake also but replaced my 100k front suspension and it went away.

Did you change tire size? If so, I'd probably take it for an alignment. If the wheel offset changed and so did the size, I may have shifted things just enough.

But it is possible a wheel is out of round, as mentioned above.

Hope its easily resolved and you get back to a smooth ride.

I am going to try swapping one front wheel at a time to the back to rule out the tires. I assumed Discount would say something if a wheel was out of round or a tire wouldn’t balance. When I used to mount tires back in the day it was pretty obvious if there was a problem on the machine. I do hope it is an alignment issue as I am worried I got hosed on these tires. Trying to live that champagne lifestyle on a beer budget.

CBI Offroad ditch light brackets and some old cheapo Nilights. Will upgrade if condensation ever happens or they just croak.

Just changed differentials, and transfer case fluids. Redline 75W-85, and 70W-75 in the transfer. And if my belly grows another 1/2", I will have to put her up on jackstands!

Saw a thead in here where the wheels were not seated correctly. Take off your tires, hand tighten the lugs in a star pattern, then torque. Then test.

    Cheap test, worth a shot.

I did go with ET style lug nuts as I thought that might be an issue as well. I have had great luck with K02's on other vehicles, it is hands down my favorite tire and never let me down which I was why was ok going with these.

which wheels? I had icons6 speeds with KO2s a few years ago. It ended up being the wheel. DT swapped out for a set of Fuels and been smooth ever since.

Supercharger install was delayed till next week. Nipple busted off the fuel pump in the box during shipping. Luckily the tech went through all the parts before starting the install. At least magnuson was good about getting a replacement on the way pretty quickly

Not entirely certain what that has to do with it but between the 3 HD diesels, 2 half tons, and my k5 rock crawler that gets driven to and from the off road park, with a combined mileage of north of 500k, I’ve never had an issue with BFG’s balancing. Nitto Terra grapplers, yes. BFG’s, no.

That’s great you haven’t had issues, but it’s pretty well documented that many people have had issues with them including myself.

On mine the center bore was slightly off - like it wasn’t perpendicular to the rest of the wheel if that makes sense. The wheel itself was round. . They’d put it on the machine and it would balance fine. Then after a few miles the wobble would come back. Did this several times at 3 different places. Finally I had them put it on the machine and run it for 10 minutes. Started fine then eventually they saw the wobble. I don’t know all the terminology so this may not make sense. But they use that cone to tighten it on the balancing machine. They’d tighten it up and all would be fine. But then it would shift. Finally they ordered an old school cone for the balancer and you could see the issue immediately.
