You always hear how much things have changed, but moving home has been the best and most challenging experience I have had thus far. 2 wrecks, both not my fault and 1 I am still recovering from... home prices going absolutely bananas... now that the big D is done, I want out of my condo. I would never have guessed i would need to spend 1/2 mil to get a sub 1800sqft home without a garage... no thanks...

Top rated elementary schools, which may be relevant; 5 acre lot, home larger than expected and room to build my shop and more.... all for under 300... I will visit on the weekends LOL

I think those would work great on a Lunar Rock Pro, if you know someone with one of those.

Starlink was a game changer for sure. Yeah it's spendy up front, but we run numerous devices off it and the kiddo games. Even during severe weather, we haven't had so much as a blip in service. Best thing to hit rual areas.

Now i am getting a little more excited for it. Did you opt for any other backup device? The ones I have researched are stupid expensive and typically slower that what SL says it will do. And did you do preferred at all?

The only other one even offered in our area is Rise Broadban and it's trash. Thankfully now we get good cell service through Verizon, T mobile doesn't work great out here as with several others. So that might be something to double check. We just have the standard SL, that alone has been more than enough. We pretty much did away with everything except a few streaming services.
Couldn't be more happy to be out of the city!

    Love that for you all!

We are excited to get rural and still be able to stay in FL. the only real concern I have is she has a real WFH job that requires a solid connection. I am... Thankful for my work. Anyway, I looked into cellular and it is worse than the one broadband we could get and it was like 10mbs or something. I am sure SL will be more than enough since we are stripping all smart home stuff and simplifying everything. and for those hopefully rare moments where a connection lags, we will look outside and smile. no more listening to the 4bangers and crotch rockets race the bridge around the corner. Congrats on your side!

Installed my dash cam that I got for Christmas with the rear view mirror power adapter. Pretty clean install and works beautifully. Now waiting on my XAV-9500es to replace my Kenwood DMX905s unit.

Congrats to you as well! I'm sure you'll love it. We overlook a lake now, so it's all fishing and relaxing on days off. We all work to damn hard and need to enjoy what we can...while we can.

Got a bracket fabbed up today for all the extras. Fuse box was just the easiest place. Made sure I still had full access and quick connects in case I need them. Fab work, fun tinkering....
Electrical work..... I'm just glad its over!!

Installed light bars, didn't take a picture of the lighting itself but man what a difference.
It's like turning the sun back on going down backroads, trails or even the highway when noone's around.
