Another Circuit from the SwithPro would be just fine.

    Checked.

The issue I am having is with TWO of the 20A (single wire) circuits. I've got the BD S8 30" hooked into one circuit (12A load) - Switch 2 to be exact. Currently I'm running the backlighting on the S8 on one of the switches that keeps tripping out with the lightbar load. And if I turn down the current setting to 15A on circuit 2, it will trip out instantly as well.

If I run a multi-meter inline with it and measure amperage, I am seeing the following:
Truck OFF (no ignition or engine)
    • Light running directly probing the battery –11.9A power draw(this is in line with the MFGR data stating 12A)
Truck OFF using Switch Pro app to turn on and off
    • Switch 1 – light remains on –10.8-11.1A power draw
    • Switch 2 – light remains on –10.8-11.1A power draw
    • Switch 3 – light remains on –10.8-11.1A power draw
    • Switch 4 – light remains on –10.8-11.1A power draw
Truck ENGINE ON (still using Switch Pro app to tun on and off)
    • Switch 1 – light shuts off almost instantly with three flashes -12.5-13.5A power draw
    • Switch 2 – light remains on –12.2-12.8A power draw
    • Switch 3 – light remains on –12.2-13.2A power draw
    • Switch 4 – light shuts off almost instantly with three flashes –12.3-13.5A power draw

I really need to make the time to reach out to their tech guy and try to troubleshoot it.

Are you saying you’re running the backlight AND the light bar load at same time? I think I’ve seen from @TundraPHX that the light bar no likey. He was having weird flicker issues on his bar with his SPOD.

I've had no issues there at all. I have the backlight tied into switch 4 and set to run at power on.
but all of this testing is with the backlight disconnected. Actually, EVERYTHING disconnected except the single hot lead for the S8.

Correct, just black matte paint for the rims but yes in that picture doesn't look like that. Here are other pictures with different angles and exposures.

Weird thing is, doesn't matter which switch I turn on. I only have 2 connected to a light currently but even if I turn on a blank it flashes. I will try when I get a moment to get under the hood.

Do your circuits ever come back or function?

the two that will trip with the S8 light bar and the engine running will work fine if I turn the engine back off. And they work fine if I plug the backlight into that circuit.

If they are OEM wheel locks, order the smaller cover. One size down.

    Hey @RainMan_PNW,

I just wanted to make sure that you're not having issues with the S8. Have you done a bench test on the bar to make sure everything is working as it should? If you notice any sort of issue with the unit please feel free to reach out and we can help diagnose the issue further. Here are the specs as well for our S8 30" just in case you may need it.

    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/s8-straight-led-light-bar/
    Amperage Rating (A) 12.0
    Wattage (W) 180

Back Light for a 30" S8 will pull
    1.2 (A)

Did you ground your SP directly to the battery? For some reason (and I’m not trying to call you out here), I vaguely remember thinking “Casey didn’t ground his SP to the battery and did bus bar instead (*tisk *tisk)” when I was looking at your install photos. But given how much smarter you are with 12v than me I just went :notsure:

you also could have grounded it correctly and I just missed it

I recently had an issue on mine randomly not working. Sent it in and apparently had corrosion in the pins. Great customer service and warranted my whole setup. Shoot them an email

As far as I've been able to tell, the S8 is fine. I get 11.9 amps when it's pulling directly off the battery (run in series through the multimeter). The backlight is on a separate circuit on the switch pro and it works fine on the "problem circuits"

It is grounded directly to the battery. I did originally run it to the BlueSea bus bar, but to ensure there were no "it's not installed per the instructions" issues, I ran it directly to the SDHQ battery block.

Finally built my other platform so now my “modular camper/storage” setup is near complete. Throw on a 3” egg crate & my 2 boys or I (solo) can sleep nice and cozy. The plywood I used is light enough to lift up for access of deep items underneath. Drawers are heavy and time consuming to build. I’m stoked on this for now.

Quoting myself here. I've had this cork shift knob installed for a few weeks now. 20231012_162745.jpg
I've had it stained, didn't like it, sanded it down. Clear coated, nope, sanded it down. Jacked up the trim on the base *shit*
Here's the problem: It's never cold or hot to the touch. It's comfortable in the hand, super solid., and just doesn't LOOK right
Maybe Ill just make cup holder inserts/trim pieces from the same and see if it blends in better.
