What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Yeah, I was telling my wife about how big of a liability that is.

Anyone know what our truck's redundancy is on lug nuts? I know one missing is still 'safe', but would a second one coming off lead to a pretty quick failure?

 

Tell him to give you the oil and filter and you'll do it yourself.

 

My tolerance is zero, hence my spare pack of 5 hanging out under the rear seat with jumper cables and etc tools.

Townfair Tire did this to my wife's Subaru. The missing lugnut was one of her security lug nuts. They couldn't find it so handed me a standard lug nut and refused to provide a replacement set. I won't be going back.

 

@PomDad our truck is still driveable with 1 wheel stud but not for long. How do I know? Cuz I managed to snap 4 when I realized something was off and was able to pull over in time. I borrowed 1 stud from the other 3 wheels and was able to drive 800 miles home. But I wasn't so lucky the last time and broke all 5 while going 75mph, saw my passenger front wheel launch into the air and luckily it was stopped by a tree.

 

You got great deal on the GX. We bought ours a year ago when they were 5-10K above MSRP around here. After going through 5 different dealers I ended up paying MSRP for ours. I also sold my 2011 Sequoia with 117k miles for 20k. Don't think I could get that now. Gas mileage is bad city driving but we get around 19 on the hwy. The 4.6 has a really nice smooth rumble to it when you step on it. Really happy with it.

 

This would call for a "crapped my pants" emoji.

Runs good, sounds awesome. Just need to finalize a few things and tune then we can really see what it's all about. So far during normal driving it does feel it has a ton more midrange and power.

Ahhh. Much better. After the leather was able to stretch with the thread pulling it, I super glued it down into place. Short ends be damned!

 

And those decals would go well with the shocker decal I also have...

 

After sitting on this thing for a few months, I've finally installed it.



Question for everyone who has it: is the display supposed to stay on when ignition is off? According to the instructions, the screen goes "blank" after a 15 min inactivity window.

I don't have them on my truck as I park in a public school parking lot and it could garner unwanted attention......as it is, everyone already knows who owns the "monster truck" (the kiddos' name for it)
