Friends Tahoe got sideswipped by a trailer at the boat dock. Blew his tire out and didn't have tools. Finally did "truck stuff." Went out with tools, fixed his issue, zip tied his bumper, and towed his fishing boat home since his spare only had about 20 psi. Was a slow crawl 2 miles back to the house from the dock.

Finally got the windows tinted. 15% for the door windows and the back window. Going to see how it feels inside before I see about doing the windshield just for UV protection and to keep it a little cooler in the Summer. Not as dramatic a difference as it had been on some previous vehicles like a particularly attractive 2016 Shelby GT350, but I’m happy with the look all the same.

I love my Transferflow tank. It doesn’t make the Tundra lean worse though. I have to keep 3-5 extra lbs. of air in the bags on that side.

I’ve been running a set of RT Trail in 35x12.5x18 for a few months - the road noise isn’t terrible, but they’re definitely louder than my old Wildpeak AT3W were.

Has anyone purchased and installed the newest V3 Bumpershellz from Ecoological? It suppose to be an easier install with better coverage from the previous versions.

    Couldn’t do that
Was too busy keeping it stable AND running the come-a-long to pull it up into the bed.

    It is.
But I just don’t use it.
I’ve got a asked for edge jointing on the table saw
And if I need to face joint I usually use a shim sled on the planer.

A lot of weight on that tailgate. Must have been nerve racking. I'd love to have the space and money for that jointer. I just have the Ridgid 6".

To pull it up into the bed, I have the tie-down D-rings I installed in the bed bolts. I looped a strap through the back two with the hook centered between and attached the come-along to that. Then the tow strap doubled up around the jointer and started one click at a time.

I've had this thing for about 15 years and used it so seldom that it was just taking up space in my basement. The guy that just bought it (about 10 minutes ago) is building his dream woodshop about 7 miles from me, so it's going to a good home.
As for the weight - I started out with a Harbor Freight solid aluminum deck 1200lb ramp and could see that the pressure of the small wheels was gonna be a nightmare, so I had the scrap piece of 3/4" plywood that I laid on top of the ramp and that was perfect for distributing the weight of the wheels as it moved up the ramp and over the tailgate. The jointer is about 300lbs...I'm a solid 215# and have had myself and another person on the tailgate without ever thinking twice, so I wasn't concerned.

With my typical perfect timing, I decided to take advantage of being at slow station today to wash said Tundra after a week of rain, just in time for it to probably rain again tonight. And then the lady calls and “suggests” maybe driving out on the beach tomorrow.
