What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Connected front and rear Garmin Dash Mini to the full time camera.

And then sort of reorganized the bed. Left pack out is for lube, gloves, etc… right pack out is for recovery gear.

Behind the rigid storage is the Pro Eagle jack, bottom rigid box contains power tools, torque wrenches, etc… and top is air hose, ratchet straps and some miscellaneous stuff…

Trying to minimize the haul in the rear… a good amount of stuff was taken out from the under seat storage since I have 2 baby buckets now and it’s a pita to remove each time…

Well...its not an SR. More of a mid tier. I passed on a bunch of black and MGM Platinums because I was still on the Toyota fence. I'm happy with the SR5. Mine was fairly well loaded, but came with the ugly chrome front end.

Same here! I was in a Raptor for 2 years. Traded in for Tesla Plaid because of gas prices and I missed being in a truck after 6 months.

 

Diy bed mat made from a horse stall mat. It weighs 94 pounds. It cured my bed bounce.

Yes, my worst fear… trying to save for kids college, and also affected by the economy at the moment, but maybe a I’ll return to Tundra ownership in a couple years.

Question for anyone with a Pro. I want to remove my tow hooks to spray paint them. Is there any issue driving your truck a few days without the tow hooks. I know I can screw the bolts back in and will sit flush against the skid plate but will the bolts tighten up or will they bottom out. Checking to see before I try myself. Not a big deal since I already had the hooks out because of adding my light bar.

 

This isn't a Pro-specific question lol. But yes, you can leave the tow hooks off for a while and won't affect the Pro skid plate. The bolts go back in with no problem without the hooks.

Thanks for clearing that up Jake!! I want to paint mine but I also need to drive my truck every day. Did not know if they would tighten back up.

 

Swapped out factory lugs for a set of black ones
Added auxiliary rear lights
And swapped cigarette plug for USB outlets in the center console.

Although there isn't any real difference from non pro trucks besides different shocks and a stamped bed.

 

Put a light transparent smoke tint on the Rigids behind the grill, remounted the passenger side horn, and installed the Jomax TSS kit.

 

Exercise that 4x4 frequently. The transfer case actuator swap isn't rocket science but the part wasn't cheap when I replaced mine. If you ever get all the way stuck, I got out by putting the truck in neutral, turning off the engine, restarting it, and then it came right out. Often times the sensor to engage/disengage just needs 5-10 minutes before it will re-attempt the shift. My $0.02 after getting stuck at windrock between 4lo and 4hi(1 hour in and almost took the driveshaft out before it worked).

Yes all the tundras have tow hooks. The question has to do with the tow hooks on the pro skid plate. Figure it out.

 

Is bed bounce how when you’re on a shitty bumpy round u feel every bump that it starts to hurt your head and back? Or is something wrong with my tundra? Lol never have I had a truck where you feel every bump on a shitty road. It’s perfect on nice smooth road. Or do you mean the “articulation” aspect?
