The regular green Simple Green shouldn't sit too long on aluminum as it "can accelerate the corrosion process" according to the SG folks. The purple stuff (Simple Green Pro HD Heavy-Duty Cleaner) is safe for aluminum. It's a concentrate and you can get it at Home Depot.
But folks seem to be using the green stuff without issue, so it's probably no big deal.

New front Toyota rotors & duralast elite copper free ceramic pads. My co-worker taught me at work, it’s not that difficult. Truck has 68,000 miles on it and I probably could have gone another 10,000 miles but I’m planning on leaving this sweat shop soon so I’m getting everything done I can maintenance wise while I have teachers and a lift available to me. I’m ordering the rear brakes tonight.

VIPER CUT front lower bumper to clear 37” tires. figure I document my project as my research only found cut measurements but nothing on how to deal with the brackets, lower inner plastic fenders and mounting. I hope you guys have an easier job doing this.
cut measurements. 2” on inner vertical cut, 1” on lower fog lamp, 6.25” on front bend and 5.5” on outer bend and used my inner painters tape to stencil curve. used a flat dermal and sanded after each cut to clean up for easy fender trim instal later.
cut lower fog lamp bracket and lower mounting bracket used my angle grinder, sanded and painted.
Cut the lower inner plastic fender where it bends. after test fitting made more cuts for cleaner front view.then drilled a hole on the lower inside to use as a zip tie point, remove outside fender mounting bracket clip and cut center section off. mark bottom hole to mount on lower fender, place the two brackets and bolt at center to make it one piece. mount bracket to outside fender for later instal of inner plastic fender. sanded and washed
Installing lower inner plastic fender use factory mounting (2) 10mm bolt top and bottom that was cut to fit the lower section. push pin on frame near coil revisor, (1) zip tie to lower inner fog bracket with drilled hole for anchor points. Total (4) anchor points and very secure. Note: zip tie pulls the lower fender all the way forward to clear at full lock. NO heating just push and secure to still have a clean factory look and still protects the fog lamp housing.
Finished with fender trim on viper cut.
Over 5” of clearance at full lock and over 6” straight.

I did the 60k service last week: air filter, cabin filter, oil change, front & rear diff, transfer case and ATF drain and fill. A lot of work for a Monday night!

Today I noticed the blower motor started making noise... so now to investigate that. Doesn't seem like a bad bearing like an air-handler motor gone bad, more like a rumbling.

I also became an old man today; pulled off the Diamondback for a cap. I'll miss the Diamondback. It was awesome, but I needed more space. I am pretty excited about the new cap, though!

Don't procrastinate on the blower motor, you might have mice in the truck HVAC system.

Odds are debris was disrupted or fell into or on the motor blades since the cabin filter was just swapped.
Start there. Probably a stray leave or something.

Having read all those threads, I looked for evidence in the engine bay and in/around the cabin filter and didn't see any. I will make sure to verify.

This is my guess, too. The old filter was pretty dirty. I plan to check this before buying a new blower. It does sound more like debris than bearing, but you never know until you get in there.

The cap looks great! If I could find a color matched Barcelona Red, it would be VERY tempting and I’m not old lol.

just curious, is that the first time you changed all those fluids or did you done one at 30k as well?

I didn't. I don't know what was going on at the time, but I didn't even realize it needed to be done until recently. It wasn't at all a difficult job. Once I figured out what gasket went where, I ordered extras so I'll have them on hand next time. I may do it again in 15k.

I think the black cover would look awesome on a red truck. Especially if you did some other black accents to tie it together.

Like others have said I'm almost going to guarantee since u just changed cabin air filter a leaf fell into the fan, that it's rubbing against as it spins. 1st stick you hand in there obviously while off and feel around for a stuck leaf. If that don't work shoot some air in there to blow it out. Good luck. More than likely you had same thing as me happen since just changed cabin air filter.

You're talking about changing the diff/transfer case/transmission fluids in 15k? Toyota says they are all "lifetime" fluids, which itself is kinda bs but every 15k seems like a lot to me.

I might need to get in the habit of doing these myself anyways... Mine still has the original fluids when I bought it at 102k (going to a shop hopefully today for him to do them this time, I might get the stuff for next time)

Yes, mainly to make sure whatever bit of original fluid was left in the housing gets flushed out. Looking in the maintenance guide, it lists changing the front diff fluid every 15k if "towing, using a car-top carrier, or heavy vehicle loading" and everything 30k if offroading. My cost for materials was around $100, so I'd rather do it again sooner than later.
