Finally finished installing my Rago dash mount. I made a bottom baseplate out of aluminum for pretty cheap. Grabbed power for the USB from the cigarette lighter adapter using Posi-taps.

    Alot of them
I'll be installing mine tomorrow. I have 2 ICS ball mounts, but the arms that I ordered are on backorder. Someone on here tipped me on to the Tackforms. They look nice and are cheaper than ICS. You just have to make sure you get the right size arms for the ball mounts that you use. I also got extra screws from Lowes to fill in all of the holes. A couple of them may be really close to the dash. I'll identify them tomorrow.

I kept the stock UCA. I have the coils set around 2inches. If you're around 3 inches of lift that you'd need to change your UCA.

Replaced my factory battery 2 years and 3 months. with Interstate 27F from Costco. It did not give up the ghost, but had to jump 2x in the last 6 days so better to be safe...20230203_191358.jpg

Yes it is dirty in there...desert silt and sedona clay will do that

It definitely gets better mileage on the highway with the stock engine skid + valhalla plates (vs the whole valhalla set) even when it's a tad chilly outside

Yep. It’s a pretty cool unit. You can do just about everything from the mic instead of the faceplate.

Seriously, get an assortment of brushes, a compressed air source with a decent nozzle, and a few bottles of diluted simple green. Then just add some common sense and patience.

I take my truck to a self wash place, there is a setting for tire/engine bay cleaner (bright green solution), pressure wash it on that setting. Does wonders.

Febreeze was made for getting rid of cigarette odors. Spray some through the intake whith the blower on high. You'll be trading one bad smell for another (I hate the smell of that stuff), but the Febreeze smell won't last as long as the cig smell.

Installed the glass breakage sensor. Hope that I never have to find out if it actually works with broken glass.
Several years ago, we had two vehicles broken into on the same night where the alarms didn't activate because they didn't detect the window getting broken.

Did you keep it set on the marking or turn it up? Think I turned mine up about two notches. It was really chilly and about dark, so I didn't mess around too long, but I know it tested good and will function.
