Yes, i agree....take it to a bodyshop and they can remove all 4 ...factory color underneath it....will look good ....OR have the bodyshop remove and replace BOTH doors on that side....that way they will match as far as new vs. Old...they are called " blackout tapes"

How visible is the TRD sway bar from the rear on your trucks? I have a small lift. Im considering dropping some extra coin and having mine powder coated to matched my truck if its pretty visible....

It is clearly visible from let's say the vehicle behind you in the highway and street. I have a black truck and I actually like the little red monkey bar and how it's color stands out a bit. I guess it is a matter of personal preference.

    Flux capacitor!
The switchbacks are by diode dynamics and they run $300 for the hardware before shipping. I did my own retrofit install. They are not an easy install by any means. The turn signal itself doesn't have any 3M so you have to glue, tie wire or both for mounting it. Plus the backside of the turnsignal mount has the wires on it. So you have to drill and notch the stock reflector to make access for the wires and get the LED to lay flat. The switchback drl is only made for Platinum or 1794 headlights. There is another switchback drl option for non Platinum or 1794 headlights though.

On the very top corner of turnsignal switchback LED there are three soldiered wires. You have to drill access holes through the plastic. You will also need to remove the plug to get the wires through without making a large hole.
    IMG_8369.jpg

The top drl board is the diode dynamic. You can see four leds per location versus one on the diode dynamics versus the stocks one per location.
Bottom is the stock drl. IMG_8046.jpg

If you go from red to blue on the powder coat you will have to get it sand blasted then powder coated. How big is your lift? Just curious if you should extend the end links. If it's 3" or less then I wouldn't mess with the end links.

@CM-LENNY Thank you! So far no issues. I do plan on mounting my license plate to the front of the bull bar. I've passed plenty of police officers and so far none seem to care out here. I truly believe once time for them to get their quotas I may get pulled over. But I'm not sweating it LOL.

Tnx for posting how good the color lugs look. I thought about doing this a while before your post and talked to our buddy Joe from NY. I then got caught up with all the other mods and forgot. When I saw your post it reminded me to touch base with Joe again to follow up on doing the same myself. Thanks to Joe it looks like I will have mine tomorrow. So thank you both. I'm just hoping that the wheel spacers 1.25 I have still allow me to use what he's sending. I'm guessing as long as I can get them on pretty tight I should be fine right? Is there a certain length I need or as long as I can get them on there tight with bunch of turns I should be fine?

Pretty positive what you're getting is fine Mike. I ran spacers on mine with lugs I had laying around and that were just fine. I believe the stud on the spacer is similar length as stock.

Just waiting on the mirror caps. 6 coats blk 2 coats glossifier. Not as good as color match surrounds and trd grill but it'll do for now. Badges on port and starboard side left to blk out then all chrome will be gone. Plan on color match handles mirrors grill next year. Baby steps.20170718_181604.jpg 20170718_181525.jpg

Cool, tnx Joe. That's what I was thinking. I was thinking long as I'm able to get enough twists on it to get enough good bite I should be fine. Just wanted to be sure though. If I t.v. was only me in truck I wouldn't really give a shit. But with kiddies in there I tend to care more. Tnx again buddy, you're awesome Joe. I got the receipt saying they should be here tomorrow.

They're, Chinese I'm guessing, broom handle covers to the right diameter.

That aside they serve the purpose, black out, and haven't come off yet.

I've been eyeing these. How do you like them? I have the oem bars on for my wife and son. For me they are just awkward getting in and out of the truck. Just too close not use but just far enough to make it look like American ninja on crutches.

Blue and gold is such a perfect combo. Those are built for blue, black, or white.
