What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

installed Brightbox Fogster on '20 1794.

now the SS3 Pro's stay on when I hit the bright lights. Using Auto brights is now decent.

nice doo-hickey. easy to install.

 

I’m hoping one of the shop guys at work can make me up a plate/bracket for it and my thoughts are to mount it towards the drivers side (forward of the radiator) cross member. That way I can still access it from the top through the access slot atop the grille.

 

What engine do you work on?

 

I ordered the "anytime" one. haven't installed yet. Wanted to make sure the SS3's were operating properly before. the britebox install might be above my pay grade though.

 

nah...take the grill off...take the headlight out....boom it's over.

Currently, F108 and F135
I have worked F100, F110, F118, TF33, F101, and F137 in the past.
F100 was my 1st.

 

I've been wanting to know how the install is. Do you have to cut any factory wiring to install?

 

no sir.

it's plug and play. 1 connection to battery.

once you pop the headlight off...you can easily reach the fog light wire.

 

I just looked at it to see how much snow fell on it since yesterday.

 

We've got like an inch of inch forming over everything here as it rain-snow-sleets. Made sure to find a spot in a ramp at work today!

 

What did you use for the switch mount? Been looking to relocate the back window switch along with adding a front camera.

I installed the OEM tailgate power lock. I’ve had it for a while but never got around to doing the install until today.

 

I have to get on this. Really need the power lock cause I'm tired of locking and unlocking the bed... lol.

 

It’s the little things that count. Just made it that much easier when you’re on a trip, walking through the parking lot and one of the kids say “oh I forgot something”. I was so thrilled when I no long had to go back to the truck and could unlock the tailgate from across the way.

 

I hear ya. So glad it’s done now. It goes in pretty easy, I shouldn’t have waited so long.

 

Nice. The F108 is a solid engine. I worked them for 24 years active duty. Now I'm one of the civilian engine managers at MacDill.

 

PM @abomb60 and see if he has made any more of them yet.

 

F135 is a sweet motor. Like to have that thrust in my Viper instead of Fat Amy

 

I raised the front of the drivers seat with some 1"x2" flat bar. Feels a little more comfy now!

Installed this bad boy today. Still playing around with it but what a difference. Thanks to @Elduder for the killer deal.

 

I noticed on Saturday that my driver side mirror when folded in made contact with the front door, checked passenger side and is stopped with about an inch gap, so I stopped by Jay Wolfe Toyota and Scot the service manager ordered a new mirror, it came in so I pulled off my mirror and went in and swapped the broken one for the new one, got it back on and all is good again. I put on the mirrors after I purchased the truck, they were less than a year old.

If you ever go to Jay Wolfe Toyota in St L MO, recommend Mark Pardee for sales and Scot Dickherber in service, both are great guys to deal with.
